Stampin’ UP! Regal Bauble Blooms Glad Tidings Christmas Card

Good morning, y’all – welcome back to the work week!  Hope it looks to be a good one!

I thought this might be a good time to bring a Christmas card to the table – and I did just that with the Bauble Blooms bundle – and some Regal Distressed Patterns DSP.  It’s super quick and easy, too!  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by using the largest Perennial Postage die to cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Pretty Peacock papers from the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty DSP.

I cut about 1 1/2″ from each short end of the Pretty Peacock rectangle and then used Liquid Glue to adhere the two pieces behind the Cherry Cobbler panel – one at the top and the other at the bottom.

Then I popped the whole thing onto the front of my Thick Basic White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the leafy ornament image from Bauble Blooms in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I stamped the first flower image – the outline – in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I stamped the third image – the fill – in Melon Mambo ink.  Then I cut out the ornament with the die in the bundled Bauble Blooms set.

I cut out the larger ornament hangar with the die in the set – from a piece of gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paperthen I popped it onto the top of the ornament with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I ran a piece of Linen Thread thru the hangar and tied a little knot in it.  Then – used a dab of Liquid Glue to adhere the thread in place on the card front.

I  inked just “glad tidings” on the sentiment in Bauble Blooms in Pretty Peacock ink and stamped it on a piece of Basic White cardstock.

I cut out the sentiment with the smallest Perennial Postage die and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

I added three gold Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the word “Christmas” in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White panel.  Above it – I stamped “happy”.  Then I added the little bow from the set in Cherry Cobbler.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Thick Basic White Cardstock and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Bauble Blooms bow on the front…

…and more of the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!. The Bauble Blooms bundle is so sweet!  Love the pretty ornament – and you can die cut the floral portion, too! – and the sentiments are spot on!  Regal Distressed Specialty DSP is beautiful in regal Christmas colors – and gold foil!
