Stampin’ Up! Natural Botanicals Beautiful Butterflies Impressions Sneak Peek Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  There’s one more Monday before Christmas and – in case you didn’t notice – the Christmas Countdown went to SINGLE DIGITS today!  Just Nine more days to The Big One!  Hope you’re getting that list knocked out!

My card today has exactly…nothing!…to do with Christmas!  Instead – it’s a pretty and simple card just to tell somone hello.  It’s another sneak peek – this time of the new Natural Botanicals stamp set and Beautiful Butterflies bundle – both from the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini. And some FREE paper – the pretty Bloom Impressions DSP – one of the Jan-Feb 2025 Sale-A-Bration freebies!  Take a look-see:

The pretty color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by adhering some new Bloom Impressions DSP to a Shaded Spruce mat for the card front.  Bloom Impressions is one of the goodies you might pick with a $60 (before shipping & tax) purchase during the Jan-Feb 2025 Sale-A-Bration!  Yeah for pretty AND free paper!!

Using the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die, I cut out a Basic White rectangle.

The new Natural Botanicals set is one of our “Reversibles” stamp sets – where each stamp in the set is designed to be stamped from BOTH sides!  One side has a detailed image and the other is a solid, shadowed image.

I stamped the flat (non-Detailed) side of the flower image in the set in stamped-off-once Melon Mambo ink.

Then I stamped the flat side of the large leaf in stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green.  I cleaned the stamp and turned it over on my block – then stamped the detailed side twice – once in Shaded Spruce and once in Old Olive.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the detailed side of the flower image in Pretty in Pink ink.  Then I used Paper Snips to cut out the flower.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the flower – and a little Liquid Glue on the bottom of the stem – I adhered it to the card front.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of new Gold Twisted Thread and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the panel to the card front.

I stamped the Beautiful Butterflies sentiment in Melon Mambo ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with the smallest Perennial Postage die.  I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the bow.

I cut out a small Beautiful Butterfly from Gold Brushed Specialty Paper and a small body from Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I adhered the body to the wings with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the butterfly to the sentiment with a little Liquid Glue.

I added some pinkish Purple Adhesive-backed Sequins (ANOTHER freebie from Sale-A-Bration!!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Natural Botanicals images in Shaded Spruce, Old Olive, stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green, and Pretty in Pink on a Basic White panel.  Then I added a few more Purple Adhesive-backed Sequins.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Natural Botanicals images on the front…

…and more of the Bloom Impressions DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’ve really become a fan of our “Reversibles” sets – they give so many fun options for adding “fill” or just pretty depth and texture to your projects!  This one, the Natural Botanicals, caught my eye right from the jump when I saw it in the new catalog – and it did not disappoint!!  I love it!  And the Beautiful Butterflies bundle is…well…BEAUTIFUL!  I love the new Bloom Impressions DSP, too – SO much pretty color!  And…it’ll be FREE!  Boom!

Finn Fan Fix

I THINK Mr. Groundhog is not enjoying this little…”love-fest”….QUITE as much as Finny is.

And he may be loving it even LESS now…

Poor Mr. Groundhog.

Loved to death!
