Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Seasons & Evergreens Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

So – there’s a rumor on the street that Christmas is coming.  Like….soon!  Which makes our theme this week really timely!  I played along with the Peaceful Season bundle and the coordinating Peaceful Evergreens stamp set.  Take a look-see:

And – guessing you’ve guessed our theme…

Duh!

I realized that this card sorta depended on everything being centered so…I started by lightly penciling a line down the center of my 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock.

Then I stamped the pretty tree-line image from Peaceful Evergreens in Lost Lagoon on the card front.

On a piece of Cherry Cobbler, I stamped the Peaceful Season sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

When the powder had cooled, I cut it out with one of the cool banner dies from the bundled Peaceful Season die set.

Using the die cut sentiment as a guide, I stamped the large sentiment from Peaceful Seasons in Pretty Peacock ink.

At this point – I erased the lightly-drawn pencil line!

I used two lengths of new Gold Twisted Thread (a new Online Exclusive coming next week on 5 Nov) to tie a simple bow.

I adhered the bow with a little Liquid Glue and popped the sentiment over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Gold Textured Adhesive-backed Dots and then popped the panel onto a Cherry Cobbler mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Peaceful Season sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic Beige panel.  Across the bottom I stamped the tree-line image three times in Lost Lagoon ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and then into the Pecan Pie card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card front was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the tree-line image on the front…

…and again on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Peaceful Season and Peaceful Evergreens bundles were perfectly curated to work together for all your holiday cards!  Sentiments – trees – label die cuts!  ALL the things! 🙂
