Stampin Up! Sentimental Christmas Labels Christmas Card

Good morning and happy one-day-before-Free-Shipping!  Yup – when you get up TOMORROW – on the 18th – you’ll be able to get FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $75 (before tax)!  What a great time to get all stocked up on the basics and the…not-so-basics!  Start making your lists!!

Perhaps you’ll pick up some of the goodies that I used on today’s card!  Like the beautiful Sentimental Wishes bundle and coordinating Sentimental Christmas DSP.  Or…the Christmas Labels stamp set that gave me some sweet sentiments!  And – how about the So Swirly Embossing Folder for a little bit of fun texture?  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge! But – I mis-read the end date on the challenge so…. 🤷‍♀️.

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started by adhering a piece of Sentimental Christmas DSP on a Real Red mat for the card front.

Using a sentiment from the Christmas Labels stamp set, I stamped all over a Basic Beige panel in Basic Beige ink.

I embossed the panel in the So Swirly Embossing Folder, matted it on Real Red and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the die in the Sentimental Wishes die set, I cut out three Christmas stockings – right from the coordinating Sentimental Christmas DSP (so COOL!).  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the stockings to the embossed panel on the card front.

I tied three little bows from new Real Red & White Baker’s Twine and adhered one to each stocking with a little dab of Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped a Christmas Labels sentiment in Real Red and cut it out with the small Stylish Shapes banner die.

I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a Shaded Spruce gem from the Regal Foiled Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Christmas Labels sentiment in Real Red ink.  Over the top, I stamped the Sentimental Wishes bough image in stamped-off-twice Shaded Spruce ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sentimental Wishes bough in Shaded Spruce on the front…

…and more of the Sentimental Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Man – I love this Sentimental Christmas DSP – and the coordinating Sentimental Wishes bundle, too!  I really love being able to cut out beautiful images from DSP – using dies!  It’s a win-win situation, for sure! And the Christmas Labels set – all sentiments! – is a great set for adding your holiday sentiments to your projects!

Yeah – we didn’t do it too much, either. We’d sort of forgotten this one was in the fridge. But I’m glad we found it! Thanks, Mom! 🙂

  4. Love this vintage looking card! Yesterday’s card was lovely as well, but I didn’t have time to comment yesterday.
