Happy Friday, y’all! Hope you’ve got something fun planned for the final weekend in July. Can you even believe that!? We’re also heading into the final five days of the EARN portion of Bonus Days 2024! So…you’ve still got time to gather up more $5 coupons to REDEEM starting on 1 August! I like free money…and I suspect y’all do, too! 🙂
My birthday card today features a couple of sets, and a gorgeous DSP, from the Annual Catalog. The Beach Days stamp set provides the sentiment – since the Forever Forest set is all images. And – taking centerstage….Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ DSP. Take a look-see:
I played with The Paper Players challenge this week…
Hey – this IS clean and simple for me! 😎.
I saw a card on Pinterest by Christina Bernards and loved it so much that I wanted to make my own version!
I started by embossing a card-front-sized panel of Boho Blue cardstock in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder – then I adhered it to the front of the Boho Blue card base using Liquid Glue.
Next up, I trimmed a piece of Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ DSP down to its final size – “framing” the part of the image that I wanted.
Down in the corner, I stamped the Beach Day sentiment in Versamark Ink. Then I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and set it with the Heat Tool.
I matted the panel on Fresh Freesia and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the Forever Forest dies – I cut out three large (not the LARGEST – but the NEXT-to-largest!) trees – two in Misty Moonlight and one in Fresh Freesia cardstock.
I adhered the three trees to the card front using Liquid Glue.
I added three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems – and the card front was done. Easy!
On the inside, I stamped the multi-tree image from Forever Forest in Misty Moonlight in the bottom corner of a Basic White panel – I inked the whole stamp but only stamped four of the five trees. Then I stamped the single tree in Fresh Freesia.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Fresh Freesia mat and into the Boho Blue card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia trees on the front…
…and the remaining strip of Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ DSP (it was about 2″ x 6″) to the envelope flap. Then I stamped the Forever Forest trees again in Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia.
Et Voila! Oh, how I love the Forever Forest stamp set and dies! All the images are so pretty! And the Beach Day set yielded the perfect sentiment, didn’t it? Don’t forget to “shop” your stamp sets when looking for that perfect image or perfect sentiment. It doesn’t ALL have to come from ONE set or bundle! Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ DSP is…simply gorgeous – and there are several designs in it that would work with this layout!
I hope you like!
