Stampin’ Up! Perennial Thoughtful Wishes Thank You Card

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! And – just a reminder that Stampin’ Up! EXTENDED the FREE Shipping special, on orders over $75, thru the end of today – and so did I! Not free shipping from me – but Double Peppermints on orders over $100!!  Check below for the deets!

While you’re getting free shipping and double peppermints, you might want to pick up some or all of the goodies in today’s card!  It’s a pretty thank you card featuring the Thoughtful Wishes bundle and a perennial fave…the Perennial Lavender DSP.  See what I did there?! 😂. Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Perennial Thoughtful Wishes Thank You Card - Stamps-N-Lingers

The layout for this one is from the sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started by using the second-from-largest Stylish Shapes square die to cut two pieces of Perennial Lavender DSP.  Using next largest square die, I cut a Basic White square.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Basic White square – tipped up to be a diamond instead of a square – in the center of a piece of plaid Perennial Lavender DSP.

Then I adhered the two DSP diamonds on either side.  They extended over the edge of the panel – so I sliced off the excess with my Paper Trimmer.  Then I adhered the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Thoughtful Wishes leaves in Pretty Peacock ink and colored it with the Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend. Then I cut it out with the coordinating die in the bundled Thoughtful Wishes die set.

I used a second die in the set to cut out a Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia leaf.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the three die cuts to the center diamond.

I stamped the words from the sentiment in the Thoughtful Wishes set in Gorgeous Grape ink.  I stamped all three words separately on Basic White  – using a sticky note to mask off the other two words for each stamp.  Wow – that was a lot of words.  You know what I mean, right!? If not – check out the short video! 😉

With the three words stamped – I used Paper Snips to cut each one out – then edged the little pieces with the Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Write Marker.

I adhered the three words with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a little dab of Liquid Glue.

I added some silver Adhesive-backed Metallic Gems and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Thoughtful Wishes leaves in Pretty Peacock, and the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape, on a Basic White panel.  Then, using the brush end of the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend, I whacked it on my Liquid Glue bottle to add some pretty splatters around the leaves.  I colored it with the Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Fresh Freesia card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Thoughtful Wishes leaves  – and some Fresh Freesia splatters – on the front…

…and more of the Perennial Lavender DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! The Perennial Lavender DSP is just gorgeous, isn’t it?  And it works with the Thoughtful Wishes bundle like they were meant for each other!!  Love!

Finn Fan Fix

Dog vs. Eggplant.  Round 2.

Yes – Mr. Eggplant is…wounded.

It’s not critical – it’s a long way from his….squeaker…  LOL.

Dr. Wayne took him to surgery – and…he’s back in the game.

Not sure how long the stitches will hold….

Dog is a BEAST!!
