Stampin’ Up! CAS Spotlight on Nature In Colors Thank You Card

Good morning from… NOT Atlanta!!  We’re waking up for our first day aboard – so I am very much in my happy place!  Today, we’re in Sorrento and going to visit Pompeii.  After the tour, we have time to wander around – maybe find some lunch.  Pizza?  Gelato?  🙂

The card I made today is actually a SET of cards – I made it in each of the new 2024-2026 In Colors.  And – it showcases the stunning new Spotlight on Nature stamp set.  Y’all – please PLEASE tell me that THIS stamp set is right up at the top of your gotta-gettit-now list when the catalog goes live in TWO days!  Take a look-see:

This one was SO easy – that’s why I did the whole “set”!

I started by using the largest Deckled Rectangle die to cut out a rectangle from the “bubbly” design in the 2024-2026 In Color DSP.  I LOVE the new patterns for this year’s color-family Designer Series Papers!

The one in this sample happens to be the Pretty In Pink – but…it’s the same idea for all five colors!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut to the front of a Basic Black card base.

With the 2nd-to-largest Deckled Rectangle, I cut out a Basic White cardstock rectangle.

Using a NEARLY dry Blending Brush, I added a little ink (Pretty in Pink, in this case, but…I used the same color as the DSP for each card!) in the middle of the white die cut

Next – I stamped the stunningly pretty floral image from the new Spotlight on Nature set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of the die cut – angling it a bit to leave room for the sentiment.

Then I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut panel to a Basic Black panel – and then to the card front.

I added three 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems in Pretty In Pink (again – use the same color as the DSP and ink).

I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add doodle-dots on the front image around the leaves, stem and flowers. 😎 And the card front was done.

On the inside, I used the almost dry Blending Brush to brush color in the bottom left corner of  Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the Spotlight in Nature butterfly in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and added the doodle-dots using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  I also added another of the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gem, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Black card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some blending, the Spotlight in Nature butterfly and little doodle-dots on the front…

…and more of the same-color DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I know, right?!  I am SOO glad that I picked Spotlight on Nature for my OnStage After Hours bundle this year!!  It is just beautiful – and when you buy it as a bundle (which you for sure SHOULD!) – you’re going to get all those great circle dies, too!

With the beautiful florals AND the pretty sentiments – it’s going to be a go-to, for sure!
