Stampin’ Up! Lovely Notes of Nature Comforting Thoughts for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Our color challenge was perfect for the lovely Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP – which is in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini catalog but…drum roll….it’s CARRYING OVER!! So you’ll see it in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.  Whoo-hoo!!  I paired it up with the Notes of Nature (retiring 😔) and Lovely & Sweet (carrying over! 🎉) bundles!  And – I used the Comforting Thoughts all-sentiment set from the Online Exclusives.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s that color challenge!

I also snagged some design elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge this week! I went down the middle with Enamel Dots – Free – Patterned Paper!

I started by adhering a piece of the Pebbled Path paper from Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP to the front of a Pebbled Path card base using Liquid Glue.

On a smaller piece of Basic White cardstock, I used the splatters image from the Notes of Nature set (I AM sad that this one is leaving us!) to stamp around in stamped-off-once Pecan Pie ink.

I embossed the panel in one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders and matted it on Pecan Pie cardstock.  Then I adhered the matted panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the die from the Lovely & Sweet set, I cut out a white-and-gold floral image from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP (I love when dies cut prettiness from DSP, don’t you?!?).

I adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using two of my fave foliage dies from Notes of Nature – I cut out two from another piece of gold-foiled paper in the DSP pack – and one from Pebbled Path cardstock.  I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a little bow from Granite Gray Baker’s Twine and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from Lovely & Sweet in Pecan Pie ink.  Then I cut it out with the handy label die in the Lovely & Sweet die set.  😎

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front (that’s a handy way to avoid a bow when adhering something over the top of one!)…

..and used them to adhere the die cut sentiment.

I added some Pecan Pie Adhesive-backed Solid Gems (these are retiring soon, too!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Online Exclusive Comforting Thoughts in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White panel.  Over the top, I stamped a foliage image from Notes of Nature in stamped-off-TWICE Pebbled Path ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pecan Pie mat and into my Pebbled Path card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Notes of Nature foliage in full-strength Pebbled Path ink on the front…

…and more of the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This has been one of my favorite suites from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini catalog and I’m really happy that the Lovely & Sweet stamp set and dies are carrying over!  Note:  what will NOT carry over is the bundled PRICE – you’ll have to buy the stamp set and dies separately (losing out on the 10% bundle discount!).  So…if you don’t have this one already …do yourself a favor and get it ASAPly!  The same holds true for Notes of Nature – the whole shebang is retiring so…you’ll TOTALLY miss out!  And nobody wants that to happen!
