Stampin’ Up! Trusty Tools Toolbox Masculine Thank You Card

Good morning all and welcome to another week!  I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to get back to it!

My Thank You card today is a great one for the guys in your life – whether they’re tool-guys or not! It’s got a neat & tidy tool bench – complete with “peg board” – courtesy of the fun Trusty Tools stamp set and bundled dies.  And those dies ALSO cut out several tools printed on the Trusty Toolbox DSP!  Take a look-see:

I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it, and all my fun short videos, right here.

The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. As you can see, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees!

I started by adhering a piece of the Trusty Toolbox DSP – which you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration 2024 (thru 29 Feb) – to a Basic Black mat using Liquid Glue for the card front.

I cut a narrow strip of another design of the DSP – the one covered with “rulers”…

…and then popped that onto the bottom of the panel with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the die in the Trusty Tools set, I cut the grid pattern into a square of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I matted that on a Basic Black square using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using a couple more dies in the set, I cut out a wrench and a couple of nuts and a screw from a piece of silver Holographic Trio Specialty Paper. I popped the wrench onto the card front with Black Dimensionals.

I also used dies from Trusty Tools to cut out a hammer and a tape measure from the Trusty Toolbox DSP.  I love that!

I popped the hammer into place with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And did the same with the tape measure – using double-stacked Dimensionals as needed to keep everything level.

On a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, I stamped the Trusty Tools sentiment in Poppy Parade ink.

I matted the sentiment onto Basic Black and then used Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

Using a little bit of Liquid Glue, I adhered that little silver die cut screw and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped a second Trusty Tools sentiment in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel.  Over the top, I stamped the wrench image from Trusty Tools in Gray Granite ink.  Then I adhered the die cut bolts with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Trusty Tools wrench in Gray Granite on the front…

…and more of the Trusty Toolbox DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How fun is this toolbench-on-a-card?!  I wish OURs was so tidy and organized! 😂  It goes together so quickly, thanks to the fun Trusty Tools bundle and the coordinating (and FREE!!) Trusty Toolbox DSP is perfect.  Being able to cut out images from DSP – using DIES and not my Paper Snips! – is one of my favorite things!!

Love your card! The little ruler along the bottom is the perfect accent with the tools and pegboard! Poor Finn…it’s exhausting being the center of attention. 😉
