Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Love! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I think Valentine’s is pretty much ALL about love in one way or another, so…I made a card for the occasion using the Bee My Valentine punch bundle and coordinating Bee Mine DSP. And it’s super easy, too! Take a look-see:
The layout is from this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
I started by adhering a piece of the fun Bee Mine DSP to a Daffodil Delight mat using Liquid Glue.
On a smaller panel of Petal Pink cardstock, I stamped the honeycomb image from the Bee My Valentine stamp set several times in Petal Pink ink for a tone-on-tone look. I matted it on Daffodil Delight and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using a couple of banner dies from the Stylish Shapes set, I cut two more pieces of Bee Mine DSP and adhered them with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the black stripes (for the body) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Over the top I stamped the body fill image in Daffodil Delight. I punched it out with the Bee Builder Punch (bundled with the Bee My Valentine stamp set).
I stamped the wings image in Daffodil Delight and the little antenna in Tuxedo Black – both on Basic White – and punched them out as well.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the wings – and then the antenna – to the back of the bee body.
Then I determined how he was going to be positioned on the card – and stamped the face in Tuxedo Black.
I adhered the bee to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped a Bee My Valentine sentiment in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest label from the Stylish Shapes set.
I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a few yellow hearts from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Bee My Valentine in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel. I stamped that honeycomb image twice in Petal Pink and added some red hearts from the Adhesive-backed Flowers & Hearts.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Petal Pink honeycomb on the front…
…and more of the Bee Mine DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This little buzzer from the Bee My Valentine bundle is just adorable. Maybe it’s his face?? I dunno – I just know I love him! And the Bee Mine DSP is about as fun and cheerful as you can get! I know you’re going to want to add this to your stash! 🙂
I hope you like!
