Happy Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well as we head down the hill to the weekend! The man and I will be headed to his doctor today for shots – and to see what he’s done to his hip! At 7 – it’s not unlikely that we’ve got some arthritis starting to set in, so we’ll see what Dr. Chris can come up with to help! He moves pretty sound, but he’s having some difficulty getting on the sofa and we can’t have that, now can we?
Before we get too far into things – I wanted to let you know that I have an Opening in my Host Club that is starting on 1 November!
What’s a Host Club? Glad you asked!
Here’s how it works.
– Each month, you’ll place an order using the special host club code that I give you. The order minimum is $50 before shipping and tax.
– Each month – one of the people in the club is the “host”. With three people and six months – everyone gets to be the “host” twice. It looks like this:

– In your host months – you place your order with me (e-mail or a phone chat) – and then you spend your Stampin’ Rewards! You’re guaranteed $15 and it’s usually a bit more than that!
– For those two months that you’re the host – your order gets free shipping from me. 😎
– AND – you get double peppermints with your Host Orders, Zoom the Craftroom for the each month, all the tutorials, any catalogs that come out. And a free stamp set up to $25 twice during the clubs.
Get ALL the deets right here – and then let me know ASAPly if you want that spot, okay? We’re getting close to the 1 November start date!
Okay – so that was something fun! Now – how’s about one last SPOOOKY card for 2023?!? I think I’ve maybe said that before but – there was a fun challenge and so…I HAD to do it!
I pulled out my Tricks & Treats Bundle, some Them Bones DSP and the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks – plus a few “staples” (die sets that EVERYONE just needs to have on their shelf – Deckled Rectangles, Nested Essentials and Basic Borders!). Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Sketch Saturday challenge (turned on its side).
And here’s that challenge – from Festive Friday – that inspired the Halloween/spooky theme! I used Black, Silver, Metallic Thread, Stencil, Spooky Sentiment, Moon and Ghosts! 🙂
I started by securing a panel of Basic White onto my work surface and then placing the Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask (the one that looks like bats. Or cats. Or houndstooth. All depends on your perspective!) over the top.
Using Blending Brushes, I added Crushed Curry and then Cajun Craze ink to make the design. Then I matted the panel on Basic Black cardstock to make the card front.
I used the fourth-from-largest Deckled Rectangle to cut out a piece of Starry Sky Them Bones DSP and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I used a Basic Border die to cut a banner in a strip of another design from Them Bones – see the “moon”?? – and adhered THAT with Liquid Glue as well.
I used my fave die in…ever??…to cut out three adorable Tricks & Treats ghosts from Basic White cardstock. I adhered two of them to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the next-to-largest Nested Essentials rectangle die, I cut out the BOO sentiment from some Them Bones DSP (this paper is SO fun!) and popped it over the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a small bow from some Silver 1/8″ Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
Then I used double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the third little ghostie over the bow. LOL – looks like THAT little ghost got his wings!
I added a few black and a few silver/clear gems from the Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the little bats from Tricks & Treats in Starry Sky on a piece of Basic White cardstock. And I stamped one, tiny, adorable ghost in Pumpkin Pie ink! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and then into my Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the bats and ghost on the front…
…and more Them Bones DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I really AM going to put the Halloween goodies away – but I just couldn’t resist the chance to make a few more Tricks & Treats ghosts – both die cut and stamped! And I love all the possibilities in the Them Bones DSP, don’t you?!
I hope you like!
