Stampin’ Up! Meandering Garden Meadow Sneak Peek Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out the wunnermus new Online Exclusive Garden Meadow bundle and the stunningly gorgeous Meandering Meadow 6″ x 6″ DSP to make a very quick birthday card.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch.  You can see I turned it on it’s side.  Tilt your head – you’ll see it! 🙂

I selected just ONE of the 12 gorgeous designs in the Meandering Meadow DSP...

…and matted it on Crushed Curry cardstock for the card front.  I popped the matted panel onto a larger Basic White mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut two 1/2″ strips of the DSP – the BACK of this paper is less “scenic” and very useful on your projects!

I adhered the two strips to the card front with Liquid Glue – lining the left edges up with the edge of the card front – and overlapping the two strips slightly.

I tied a bow from a piece of Parakeet Party twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Garden Meadow sentiment in Garden Green ink.  This pretty bundle is so fun – I LOVE the dies!!  EVERY image in the stamp set has a coordinating die!  And that GATE!! Whooo-hoo!

I cut out the sentiment with a label from the Something Fancy die set.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the bow.

I added a few dragonflies from the Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds (oh my gosh, y’all – these are just the BEST!  Gold.  Adhesive-backed.  And THIN!!  YEAH!) flitting here and there – and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a sweet flower from Garden Meadow in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the corner of a Basic White panel.  I colored the flowers with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and the leaves with the Dark Lemon Lime Twist Blend.  And – cuz I could – I added a sweet little dragonfly!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to Crushed Curry and Basic White mats and then into my Garden Green card base – adhered the card front with Liquid Glue – and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Garden Meadow flower on the front…

…and a little more of the Meandering Meadow 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
