Good morning – and Happy Friday! We’re on the cusp of the weekend – and…it’s acting like straight up FALL here! WHOO-HOO!! Windows and doors open ALL day long (that means it’s even cool in the afternoon!) – and I LOVE it!
So….is this card a FALL card? Maybe! I do know it has gorgoeus sunflowers from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and beautiful woodgrain Joy of Christmas DSP! I added some great die cut foliage and a sweet sentiment from the Fruitful Blessings bundle, too. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge!
I started by adhering a piece of the Pecan Pie woodgrain paper from the Joy of Christmas DSP onto an Old Olive mat for the card front.
I cut two of the largest Stylish Shapes banner dies from some leafy Joy Of Christmas DSP. Using a Paper Trimmer – I sliced off one banner end off of each of the die cuts. Then I adhered one to the card front with Liquid Glue – aligning the straight-edge with the top of the card front. Note – this is the banner on the RIGHT!
To make the banner on the left longer – I cut it in half with my Paper Snips. Then I adhered the end with the straight edges at the top of the card front. I added the second part – the one with the banner end still on – about 3/4″ down from the first piece. So – there’s a GAP between the two pieces. Confused?? Check out the video! 🙂
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used Blending Brushes and the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks to create three sunflowers. The main petal image (mask #1) started with Crushed Curry. With Mask #1 still in place, I added a little Wild Wheat near the base of the petals.
Then I changed to the solid center mask (#3) and added the middle in Wild Wheat. To make the detailed center – I used mask #4 and Pecan Pie ink.
And then – don’t be scared! – I used my Paper Snips to cut out the flowers.
Using the Fruitful Blessings die set, I cut out five leaves – three in Old Olive and two in Shaded Spruce.
Then I created the collage – adhering the flowers and leaves with Liquid Glue.
I tied a simple bow with some Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine and added it with a little dab of Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Fruitful Blessings sentiment in Pecan Pie and cut it out with the narrow Stylish Shapes banner die.
I adhered the sentiment with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A few Mossy Meadow Adhesive-backed Speckled Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Fruitful Blessings sentiment in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White panel. Over the top, I stamped the leaf image in stamped-off-TWICE Old Olive ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Pecan Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Fruitful Blessings leaf on the front in Old Olive ink – I stamped the image twice without re-inking…
…and more Joy of Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay – this card makes my heart happy! Those sunflowers – the woodgrain – the leaves. Love it all! The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks are just…amazing! I also really love all the dies and images in the Fruitful Blessings bundle – aren’t those leaves great? And – the Joy of Christmas DSP…who knew it would be so versatile!?
I hope you like!
