Stampin’ Up! Them Bones Tricks N Treats BOO for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

So – I keep saying I’m “done with Halloween cards” and then…I do it again!  I can’t help it very much – I look at the little ghostie in the Tricks & Treats stamp set and… I NEED to stamp him!  Which means – you gotta see another Halloween Card.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

I also selected some elements thanks to the inspiration from this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I almost had a BINGO!  The only two squares I DIDN’T hit are…Fun Fold and Candy. 🤷‍♀️

I started by adhering a piece of Them Bones DSP to a Granny Apply Green mat for the card front.  I wrapped some black Baker’s Twine twice around the panel – securing the ends in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.

Then I used two lengths of the Baker’s Twine to tie a simple bow around the twine on the panel.

I stamped the little haunted house – I LOVE this image so much! – in Versamark ink on a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I sprinkled it with black Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.

When it was all cool – I cut it out with the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die and popped it onto the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Tip: keep the dimensionals away from the edges of the die cut – so that you can tuck the vellum die cut ghosts (coming up!) underneath! 🙂

I cut out three Vellum cardstock ghosts – and tucked two of them under the circle die cut – adhering them with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Tricks & Treats vampire in stamped-off-once Starry Sky and Frankenstein in Granny Apple Green on Basic White cardstock.  I stamped their hair and faces in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I cut them out with the coordinating dies from the Tricks & Treats set.

I adhered them with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – double stacking them where needed.

As I added them – I slipped the third Vellum ghost under and secured him with some Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment – I used the Tricks & Treats sentiment die to cut out three of them from Granny Apple Green cardstock and one from Granny Apple Green foil (from the Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green Foil Sheets).

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three cardstock die cuts together in a stack – and then adhered the foil die cut to the top.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I added some green Adhesive-backed Glitter Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Tricks & Treats sentiment in Granny Apple Green on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Then I stamped that little ghost – awww – I LOVE him!! – in Starry Sky ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Starry Sky ghostie on the front…

…and more of the Them Bones DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  That ghost – and the haunted mansion – in the Tricks & Treats stamp set are going to go down as two of my favorite images of all time.  I just love them!  I mean – Frank and Vampie are cute and all (and I DO love the BOO die cut sentiment!) but…Casper and his house are just the best!
