Happy Friday, y’all! Welcome to the weekend! Well – in about 9 hours it’ll be the weekend! Got plans?? I’ll be working on getting ready to be gone for 4 days at the end of the week – this is the week we head to Las Vegas for our Stampin’ Up! Leaders Event. Whoo-hoo! 🙂
My card today is a sneaky look at two things that grabbed my attention right from the jump when we got our first look at the new Sep – Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. It’s the gorgeous Winter Owls bundle and the Fragrant Forest background stamp! And – I’ve got some new Winter Meadows DSP to share, too! Take a look-see:
I know! That stunning owl just LEAPS off the page, doesn’t he?! 🥰🥰🥰
I started by inking up the new Fragrant Forest stamp with Whisper White craft ink and stamped my Mossy Meadow cardstock panel. Tip – with these big background stamps – put your stamp on a block and set it on your work surface rubber-side-up. Ink the stamp by tapping it with your open ink pad. Then set your panel carefully in place and rub the back to transfer the ink. 🙂
When the white ink had dried, I matted the panel on a piece of Pebbled Path cardstock for the card front.
I adhered a narrow strip of Misty Moonlight paper from the new Winter Meadow DSP using some Liquid Glue. Y’all – this paper is just stunning!
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a couple of loops of Boho Blue 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim.
On another strip of Winter Meadow DSP – this one in Pebbled Path, I stamped the Winter Owls sentiment in Mossy Meadow.
I added some faux stitches around the strip with a Pebbled Path Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered the strip over the Jute Trim with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut the large detailed bird die and the two extra wings from Basic White cardstock. Using a Sponge Dauber, I added Pebbled Path ink to the trailing edges of the bird wings.
I adhered the two extra wing dies to the trailing edges of the large bird die. Then I popped the owl onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Boho Blue 2023-2025 In Color Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the large owl from Winter Owls in Pebbled Path ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I used a Blender Pen to add some light Pebbled Path shading on the wings and body.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pebbled Path mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Winter Owls owl on the front…
…and a little more Winter Meadows DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Don’t you think the Winter Owls bundle and Fragrant Forest was worth being first on my pre-order list?! And – it’s like they were made for each other, too. I think that big, gorgeous owl is perfect soaring above the subtle forest! And the Winter Meadow DSP is simply stunning!
I hope you like!
