Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
For me, the colors in our challenge this week demanded that I use the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP. Which was not a hardship at all – it’s one of my favorite packs of paper! I decided to pair it up with the pretty Marvelous Nature stamp set. Take a look-see!
And – here’s our color palette! The Inked Botanicals DSP made it SUPER easy to get ALL FIVE colors! 😎
I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went across the middle. And – I don’t think you’d call your enemy “Marvelous” so…if you squint – I ALSO went down the left column! 🙂
This one is quick so…buckle up!
I started by using Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of beautiful Inked Botanicals DSP to a Calypso Coral mat for the card front.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the fern image from Marvelous Nature in Lost Lagoon ink. Then I cut it out with the largest Stylish Shapes circle die – and adhered it onto the card front with Liquid Glue.
I tied a Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine bow around the end of a doubled-up length of Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon and then used Stampin’ Seal to adhere it over the circle die cut.
On another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Marvelous Nature sentiment in Calypso Coral ink.
I used the largest Stylish Shapes banner die to cut out the sentiment.
I adhered the banner over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally – I added some Pool Party Glossy Dots and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second Marvelous Nature sentiment in Calypso Coral on a Very Vanilla panel. In the corner, I stamped that pretty fern again in Lost Lagoon!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and then into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Marvelous Nature fern on the front…
…and more of the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love the Inked Botanicals DSP so so much – the colors work together perfectly and that creamy backdrop is wunnermus! I’m also a fan of the Marvelous Nature set – it’s a bit of a flyover but…it for sure deserves a second look (and a place on your stamp shelf!).

Earning Period ENDS: 31 July 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (MT)
