Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Fresh as a Daisy Celebration Card

Good morning good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your week looks like it’ll be good, too!  Here’s a little scheduling note – I spent some time over the weekend pulling some cool Special Bundles of 2023-2025 In Colors and new Core Colors together for you – be watching for that post tomorrow!  It’s going to be a great chance to pick up our new and gorgeous colors – and save a little cash! 🙂

My card today uses two of those colors – Copper Clay (one of my faves!) and Wild Wheat! – with the Dainty Delight bundle (available right now) and some new Fresh as a Daisy DSP (available on 2 May!).   Here’s a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I started by stamping the wildflower image from the Dainty Delight stamp set (available now in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini AND carrying over into the new Annual Catalog – yeah!!) in Copper Clay ink on a piece of new Fresh as a Daisy DSP (available on 2 May).

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat for the card front.

I embossed a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock in the Hive 3D Embossing Folder (retiring soon – so…get it NOW before it’s gone – it’s on a great sale!!).  Using the Stylish Shapes largest circle die as a guide, I tore it into a rough circle.

Using a Blending Brush, I brushed the circle with Copper Clay ink.  Then I sliced an edge off with my Paper Trimmer, crumpled it up a bit and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the Dainty Delight dies, I cut a Mossy Meadow stem, four Wild Wheat wildflowers, a few Basic White daisies (I LOVE these die cut daisies so so much!) and some Crushed Curry flower centers.

I adhered the flower centers to their respective flowers and then started adhering the elements to the card front with Liquid Glue – starting with the Mossy Meadow stem.

I stamped a Dainty Delight sentiment in Copper Clay on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner die.

I adhered the die cut flowers and wildflowers with Liquid Glue – starting at the top of the stem.

I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals – then added the final wildflower and daisy with Liquid Glue.

I added some beautiful 2023-2024 In Color Dots in Wild Wheat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Dainty Delight wildflower image a couple of times in Copper Clay ink on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and then into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Dainty Delight wildflowers on the front…

…and I like them so much that I stamped them in Copper Clay on my Fresh as a Daisy DSP before adhering it to the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I am SO stoked that the Dainty Delight stamp set and dies are carrying over to the new catalog, aren’t you?!  But – if you don’t have it yet, consider getting it before the Mini retires!! Cuz…even though it’ll still be available it will NOT be at the bundled price – which means you’ll pay $6.25 MORE if you wait until May!  Yikes.  It doesn’t even make sense to wait, right? 🤷‍♀️ And I KNOW you’re going to want the Fresh as a Daisy DSP when IT is available on 2 May!

I hope you like!

Oh – don’t miss the Hive 3D Embossing Folder – it’s retiring soon and you can get it for just $3.60!!  What?!?

  1. Love your card! The layering is perfect and the little flower die cuts are fantastic! Poor Finn, always left to beg for the crumbs. He’s starving! 😉

Yes – it’s quite obvious that he’s near death! 🤦‍♀️. Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Sharon Harris

This is a wonderful card! The colors and the texture by tearing make it unique. Thanks for sharing, inspiring and leading.

Thank you so much, Sharon! I like that extra texture, too! 🙂

  3. Gail S.

Love this card. I have the set and dies, just waiting for the DSP–though I can use others. I’ve used this set so much—-can you wear out your dies??? Thanks for sharing!
