Good morning! Happy Sunday!
I’ve got a cool ocean-y, underwater-y card for you today – from the new Beauty of the Deep bundle and the Circle Sayings stamp set – both coming on 2 May in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! They go together surprisingly well – take a look-see:
I started by stamping a piece of new (returning!) Misty Moonlight cardstock with two images from the Beauty of the Deep set – the small grass in Misty Moonlight and the large coral in Whisper White – covering the entire panel.
When the Whisper White ink was dry – it can take an extra minute or two! – I cut the largest Deckled Rectangles out of the panel. I also cut a Bubble Bath panel at the same time with the same die! Yes – blue and pink – a CLASSIC combo!! 🙂
I adhered the Bubble Bath panel at a jaunty angle to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base using Liquid Glue.
I wrapped a piece of white Baker’s Twine twice around the Misty Moonlight panel – securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots – then I adhered it over the Bubble Bath mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the large coral die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies to cut out a Vellum and Bubble Bath coral – and adhered them both with Liquid Glue. Note; be careful with the Glue on the vellum die cut – keep it near the bottom where it’ll be hidden! 🙂
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Circle Sayings images – both the round beach image and the shells – in Smokey Slate ink.
I used Small Blending Brushes to add Daffodil Delight and Misty Moonlight ink to the image – and stamped the sentiment over it in Misty Moonlight ink. Then I cut it out with the third-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die.
I brushed some Daffodil Delight over the shell image with the Small Blending Brush and colored the shells with my Light Bubble Bath and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and the starfish with the Light Daffodil Delight Blend. Then I fussy cut the image with my Paper Snips.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the fussy cut shells to the top of the circle sentiment – then I popped it over the twine with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used two lengths of white Baker’s Twine to tie a bow around the twine on the panel.
I added Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the large coral image in Bubble Bath and then added a second Circle Sayings sentiment in Misty Moonlight.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bubble Bath mat and into the Misty Moonlight card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Beauty of the Deep images on the front…
…and again on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! So – how much do you love the new Beauty of the Deep bundle?? I really love that coral – the image AND the die – and am excited to play with more of the images! You’ll always want a sentiment to use with it and the Circle Sayings happens to have perfect images to go along with!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Such a pretty card! Love the stamping on the background. And yay for someone just Finn’s size to come “help”. 😉
Yup – they were pretty cute! Until she got tired and cranky. Once she started to fuss HE got fussy. He worrries! Thanks, Amy 🙂
Super card, thinking of “tweenagers” for sure! I’ve already got that bundle and set on my “wish” list. I’m sure Finn is wishing Ivy would hurry up with learning to ambulate, so he could be head herder for her!
Yes – she’s a bit wobbly for his “help”! But she’s a trooper and just climbs back up!! Glad these are on your list, Gail – they’re pretty cool! Thanks much! 🙂
