Stampin’ Up! Elegant Borders Spring Blessings for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “Celebrate Spring”!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I figured that few things say “Spring” more than a pretty stamp set with “Spring” right in the name – so…out came the Spring Blessings stamp set!  I added some Balmy Blue Country Gingham DSP and…used the beautiful new Online Exclusive Elegant Borders dies to add some sweet fun.  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a piece of Balmy Blue Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP to a So Saffron mat for the card front.

Next, I used the third-from-largest Stitched Rectangle die to cut out a Basic White rectangle.  Then, used one of the dies in the new Elegant Borders die set – one of our new Online Exclusive products!! – to cut the edge off one long side.  I aligned the top edge of the die with the perforations from the Stitched Rectangle die cut – and centered it.

I stamped a Spring Blessings sentiment in Balmy Blue in the middle of the rectangle.  Then I added the two corner images – also in Balmy Blue – and colored them with my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

I stamped the little butterflies in Basic Gray ink and colored them, too, with the Daffodil Delight Blend.

I added some grass – this is a cute little image in the Spring Blessings set – under the sentiment – in Granny Apple Green ink.

Using my Take Your Pick tool – and little dabs of Liquid Glue – I adhered some Loose Daisy Embellishments “in the grass”.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a So Saffron mat and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the corner image in Balmy Blue ink in each corner of a Basic White panel.  I colored each image with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a So Saffron mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Spring Blessings corners in Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight on the front…

…and more of the Gingham Cottage 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
