Stampin’ Up! New Tropical Leaf Hello Card!

Good morning, everyone!  It’s Tuesday and I am…finally…I HOPE!…actually back in business.  The computer-having business, that is!  After much gnashing of teeth, pulling of hair and swearing of words, I think my BACKUP computer is…well…Back Up!  Fingers crossed and I’m trying not to be too excited because…computers.  Am I right?!? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

So – to celebrate my return to “normal”, I pulled out a brand spanking new bundle – it’s one of our new Online Exclusives – and it caught my eye first thing when the current round of exclusives was released.  It’s called the Tropical Leaf Bundle – a PUNCH bundle 🎉🎉🎉 – and I paired it with some fun Flowers & More DSP from the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog.  Take a look-see:

I know, I know.  I went back to that Granny Apple Green and Polished Pink color combo – can’t help it very much.  I love it! 😎😎😎

I started by using Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of Flowers & More DSP  to the front of a Polished Pink card base.  Y’all – this is such a cool DSP pack – you’ll get 48 sheets of 12″ x 12″ paper!! – and it’s available as a Host Reward from the Mini Catalog – holler at me if you want to try to get it!

Next up, I used the middle die in the Scalloped Contours Die set to cut out a Basic White rectangle.

Using the stems image from the Tropical Leaf bundle, I stamped it twice – once in Garden Green and once in Granny Apple Green.

I used Granny Apple Green to stamp the smaller image from the Tropical Leaf set on the panel a few times in Granny Apple Green.  I added the veining image in Granny Apple Green.  Then I adhered the die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Basic White card stock, I stamped the large image from Tropical Leaf three times in Granny Apple Green.  I added the veining image in Garden Green – and punched them all out with the cool Tropical Leaf Punch.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered one of the leaves near the top.  Then I added the second leaf on the left with Liquid Glue.  The final leaf  – on the right – is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using my Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend, I colored a length of Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and then tied a small bow with the colored ribbon.  I adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Tropical Leaf sentiment in Polished Pink on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with the smallest Scalloped Contours die.  I adhered it with a couple of double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Glue Dots to add three Dragonfly Trinkets and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped more Tropical Leaf images in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into the Polished Pink card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Tropical Leaf images on the front…

…and a little more of that cool Flowers & More DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Right!?  Is that not the coolest set?  I saw the Tropical Leaf set – with a bundled PUNCH! –  on the website and clicked ADD TO CART!!  I just love it – the leaves are great and the sentiments some of my fave (in a really pretty font!).  And – the Flowers & More DSP is just so pretty – and it’s a HUGE pack of paper – there’s a LOT of cards in this one, y’all! 🙂

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Yesterday, we headed to the Post Office to mail my team rewards…

…and, of course, the man went with!

While we were in the van waiting for Wayne at the Post Office, we saw a pooch on a walk!

Finn had a laser focus…

(His laser is pretty handsome, huh?!)

He even kept track as the pooch made his way down the street.

He was sort of wondering if anyone had told that guy that his haircut makes him look a little goofy…

  1. That’s way too cute! Love the fun colors and the tropical leaves. Yeah…you don’t want to see Ginny’s haircut right now. It’s pretty similar to Finn’s new friend in the street. It’s a golden doodle thing. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yeah – the floofy tail..he laughed right out loud. If he ever gets to meet Ginny I’ll make sure he remembers the old “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything!” Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Love the tropical feel and spicy colors of this card!

  3. Faith Simpson

wow, Mary….that is a gorgeous card. I’ve gotta get that new bundle!! I love it.
As for Finn…..he is SO handsome…..great pictures of him….he definitely was very focused on that dog. And not even barking……..such a good boy.

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – silent but wary…and laughing. Maybe a little! Thanks so much, Faith – it’s a wonderful bundle! 🙂

  4. JudiH
