Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Easy Peasy “Chalkboard” Christmas Card!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I hope your last few days of November 2022 are going well!  Mine are – even though I am having trouble coming to terms with the fact that it’s already practically Christmas again!  Seriously – where IS the time going?!? 😳😳😳

With Thanksgiving in the rear view – it’s time to really focus on Christmas!  Well – until the Jan – Apr 2023 Pre-Order starts on Thursday – then – you’ll start to see some projects with THOSE new goodies! 😉  To that end – I pulled out the Merriest Moments stamp set and made a simple and easy Christmas card for you today!  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Merriest Moments Easy Peasy "Chalkboard" Christmas Card!

I layered all the foliage using white ink on black cardstock as an homage to the FUSION challenge this week!

I used nearly all the foliage in the pretty Merriest Moments set – both pine boughs, the leaf branch, the berries and the little flower “center” image.  Using Whisper White ink, I stamped all the images – letting them just pile on top of each other – and creating a half circle shape – on the Basic Black panel.  Tip: even though this is a portrait oriented card, I turned the panel onto its side – in landscape – to do the stamping.

When my brain said – there it is! – I stopped stamping!

I turned the panel and then stamped the Merriest Moments sentiment in the Whisper White ink. Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat to make the card front.

I added a silver Festive Pearl – and the card front was done!

Yes.  THAT easy and quick!

On the inside, I stamped the second Merriest Moments sentiment in Versamark ink on a Basic White panel.  Then I sprinkled it with Silver Metallics Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  In the corner, I stamped more of the Merriest Moments foliage in Evening Evergreen.

Using Stampin’ Seal – I adhered the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and then to a silver panel from the Silver Foil Specialty Foil pack, then into my Basic Black card base.  I used the Seal to adhere another Silver Foil panel to the front of the card base, then popped the matted card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Merriest Moments foliage in Evening Evergreen on the front…

…and a little Painted Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Love love love how all that pretty and Christmas-y foliage from Merriest Moments looks in white-on-black, don’t you??  The addition of the silver mat – with the Cherry Cobbler “second” mat – was a great design input from the ladies on my Zoom the Craftroom yesterday.  Thanks, ladies!!

Like yesterday’s card – if you’ve taken a gander at the Last Chance Sale list – then you’ll have noticed that the Merriest Moments stamp set will NOT be returning – its time with us is over!  And – while I didn’t use it on THIS card – there’s also the amazing Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder (with a pretty embossing folder AND dies that go with!) – that coordinates perfectly with the stamp set.

Come 1 December – BOTH items are on the Last Chance Sale list – the Merriest Moments will be at full price ($22) – but the coordinating Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder  set will be on SALE for a cool 60% OFF (that’s $15.60!)!!  That’s a seriously good deal!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts are listed below!  I also made a short video on how to make this card – you can see it right here!

I’ve also created a printable PDF with written instructions and a list of the products used to create this project.  You can download, print and/or save it by clicking this image:

  1. How clever, unique and beautiful. I must try that but I don’t have much luck with my white craft ink for some reason.

    • stampsnlingers

Make sure it’s juicy – or it’ll fade too much! Have fun with it! 🙂 Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  2. Love, love, love your card! The muted white stamping is so pretty! 😀 And yeah, a laptop is a good place to warm your chin and catch the occasional snooze. 😉

  3. I love this card so much! Great use of the white ink and so, so pretty!

Finn is such a sweet boy! If he can’t be touching Mom, then the next best thing is to be touching Mom’s laptop! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yup – until he gets too hot he can be a snuggle-bug! Thanks so much, Carol! 🙂

  4. Kate

    I have a laptop he can have…😏

  5. Gail S.

Definitely giving this a try, maybe also on navy with snowflakes. I think there’ something about laptops that bring about quite a few unexpected snoozes! Cause you can get comfortable when using them.

    • stampsnlingers

Ooooh! White on Navy would be wunnermus!! Thanks! And yes – I have been known to “rest my eyes” while using the laptop, for sure! 🙂

  6. Linda Callahan

This is gorgeous! The white stamped images on the black are perfect!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Linda – appreciate you stopping by! 🙂

  7. Laurie Unger
