Good morning and Happy Easter to you all! We’re headed to our friends’ this afternoon – so I’ll be in the kitchen this morning. The Prime Rib is out and coming to room temp in preparation for it’s sojourn in my hot oven. The eggs are deviled, the potatoes ready to hit the pressure cooker. And the lemon sheet cake is…in work! Yum!
As I started my video last night, it occured to me that I should have made an Easter card for you today. But… I totally didn’t! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Instead, I made a Congratulations card (very suitable for the men in your life – but certainly not LIMITED to them!) using the fun Your Biggest Fan bundle and coordinating Hey Sports Fan DSP. And – it’s a slimline card, too, which means that I used the cool Slimline Envelopes (which ARE going to be in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog – whoo-hoo!). Take a look-see:

I did this slimline card as a result of the sketch challenge from the Global Design Project challenge.
I started with a piece of Night of Navy paper from the Hey Sports Fan DSP. In two corners (top left and bottom right if you’re curious), I used the fun chevron-cutting-die from the Sports Event die set (there are two in the set and it’s the little narrow strip dies) to cut the lines in the paper. The dies don’t cut anything “out” – they just leave the chevrons cut in the paper. 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat to create the card front.
Next, I cut the large ticket die from a piece of Basic White. In the bottom left and top right corners, I stamped the “slotches” image from Your Biggest Fan a couple of time in Bumble Bee ink. Then I used those chevron Sports Event dies again in the same corners and adhered the ticket to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used the tear-ticket die to cut two tickets from Bumble Bee cardstock – then I “tore” off the smaller ticket. It actually cuts a perforated line – so tearing it is easy!
Using the lines image from Your Biggest Fan, I stamped the lines a few times on each ticket in Poppy Parade.
I also cut the long strip of “tickets” in Poppy Parade.
I adhered the Bumble Bee tickets with Liquid Glue and used a couple of Dimensionals to adhere the Poppy Parade ticket strip. With a Glue Dot, I wound some Evening Evergreen twine from the Fan Baker’s Twine pack.
A very cool thing with this suite is the ability of the die in the Sports Event set to cut images from the Hey Sports Fan DSP! I used the die to cut the Poppy Parade “Way to Go” pennant and added it over top of the other elements with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the Your Biggest Fan sentiment in Evening Evergreen on Basic White and fussy cut it – then used Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere it to the card front.
See the round die in the picture of the bundle up there? Well – it cuts the fun “#1” die cut! I used it twice – to cut a Bumble Bee and a Basic White circle. Then I adhered the Bumble Bee circle to the card front and the Basic White “text” on the inside of the die cut with Liquid Glue.
I added some Poppy Parade stars from the Resin Stars Embellishments and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Your Biggest Fan in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel. Next to the sentiment, I added some Bumble Bee splotches and the little three-star image in Poppy Parade.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Bumble Bee card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My white Slimline Envelope got more Your Biggest Fan splotches and stars on the front…
…and – even though the Slimline Envelopes come with a decorative inside flap – I added more of the Hey Sports Fan DSP to the outside of the flap.
Et Voila! I love how this card yell CONGRATULATIONS without EVER using that word! The Your Biggest Fan stamp set has super fun sentiments and images – and the bundled Sports Event dies are really cool – I love when you can use dies to cut images from DSP, like these do from the Hey Sports Fan DSP, don’t you?!?
