Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration Bundle Card with Video Tutorial

Good  morning on the cusp of the weekend! Did y’all eat your Corned Beef and cabbage?  We did – thank goodness for the pressure cooker!!  It cooked away while we worked in the garden!

Y’all have seen a bunch of samples using the amazeballs new Waves of Inspiration stamp set, with its bundled Waves Dies, and the corresponding Waves of the Ocean DSP.  It’s pretty spectacular.  So…you might not be surprised to hear/see that I’m bringing it to you again!  Take a look-see:

I made this card for you yesterday on my Facebook Live – if you were able to join me for that, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me.  If not – but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube, here ’tis!

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I started by adhering a piece of Basic White cardstock on a Pacific Point to make the card front.

I matted a piece of – mostly Daffodil Delight – Waves of the Ocean DSP (remember – this is a LIMITED time product, we won’t be seeing it again after 2 May!!) on Pacific Point, and then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I picked a pretty blue-hued paper and cut three of the next-to-smallest fatter rectangles from the Stitched Rectangle Dies – and used Liquid Glue to adhere them over the strip on the card front.  Tip: adhere the middle die cut first, then add the top and bottom die cuts equidistant between that one and the top/bottom of the card!

I used the cool cloud dies from the Waves Die set to cut three large clouds and two small ones from Basic White.  Then I cut some cloud detailed die cuts – a few in mostly Calypso Coral Waves of the Ocean DSP and a few in mostly Daffodil Delight DSP.  I used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere the detailed cuts to the solid cloud die cuts.

I stamped the pelican-on-a-piling from Waves of Inspiration in Basic Gray ink on a piece of Basic White and cut it with the matching die in the Waves set.  I colored the piling with my Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and added a little Light Smoky Slate Blend to the pelican’s body.  I colored the beak with a Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker (don’t forget that Bumblebee is retiring soon so…time to be stocking up on ALL the 2020-2022 In Colors!).

I adhered the pelican to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I added the clouds – some are adhered with Liquid Glue and a couple with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the illusion of depth.

I cut a few birds from Night of Navy and Coastal Cabana foil from the new Blues Foil Specialty Paper (ALSO available only for a limited time!!) and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Waves of Inspiration sentiment in Pacific Point and cut it with the larger label die in the Waves Die set.  Then I adhered it over the pelican-on-a-piling with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally – I added a lovely Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewel (guess what?  THIS is a limited time product, too – and you do NOT want to miss stocking up on these!!) and the card was done.

On the inside, I simply stamped a second Waves of Inspiration sentiment in Pacific Point and a few Coastal Cabana birds on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pacific Point mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Coastal Cabana birds on the front…

…and more of the Waves of the Ocean DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I do love this Waves of Inspiration bundle, don’t you?  And how cool is that we’re going to see it in the next 2022-2023 Annual Catalog (which… I get to see NEXT WEEK!  A little Demonstrator Perk! 😎😎😎).  I AM sorry that the Waves of the Ocean DSP, Blue Foil Specialty Paper and Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels will NOT be available to us after 2 MAY! 🙁  So…be sure that you get stocked up while you can!

I hope you like!

And – if YOU’D like to step into all the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! I was awake way too early the other day.

Finn – being the loyal friend that he is, got up with me.

Uhm…
