Stampin’ Up! Flowering Fields & Tulips Fun Fold Easel Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday!  Hope you’re ready for the weekend!

If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your week with me.  If not, and you’d like to see how to make this super easy and pretty easel card, here’s the replay on YouTube!

This card features the gorgeous Flowering Fields DSP – which really does the lionshare of the work on this one!  I added some sentiments – and beautiful stamped tulips – from the Flowering Tulips stamp set and called on my craftroom-workhorse, the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Take a look-see:

I feel pretty certain that the abundance of tulips easily qualifies this card for The Paper Players theme challenge this week!

And I grabbed some elements from the Festive Friday Inspo List, too! I see…Flowers…Green…Bugs/Insects!

I started by adhering two narrow strips of the Flowering Fields DSP to a Pear Pizzazz mat – one on each end, using Liquid Glue.

I took a 3 3/4″ x 7 3/4″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock and scored it at 3 7/8″ and again at 5 3/4″.  I folded the 3 7/8″ score line as a valley – and the second score line in the same direction to create the easel.

I matted more of the same design Flowering Fields DSP on a Pear Pizzazz mat for the front of the easel.

Using a label die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set, I cut a Flowering Fields DSP (in Poppy Parade) label and adhered it to the panel with Liquid Glue.  Then I used a strip of Stampin’ Seal + to adhere some Petal Pink 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon in a loose “z”.

I stamped a Flowering Tulips sentiment in Petal Pink on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with the next-to-smallest rectangle die in the Stitched So Sweetly die set.  I adhered the sentiment over the DSP label and ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered another piece of the Flowering Fields DSP on Pear Pizzazz and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the inside of the easel card.

I stamped another Flowering Tulips sentiment on Basic White and cut it with a larger label die from Stitched So Sweetly.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the inside of the easel card – so it became the easel “stop”.

I used Liquid Glue on the bottom half of the easel card front and adhered the card front to that portion only.

I added a little flurry of Brushed Brass Butterflies to the front of the card – and one on the easel “stop”!

For the back, I stamped two tulips from Flowering Tulips – one in Poppy Parade (step 1 full strength and the second step stamped-off-once) and one in Petal Pink (again – step 1 is full strength and step 2 is stamped-off-once).  I gave them both Pear Pizzazz stems and the little “grass” image.  The flower center is stamped in Mango Melody.  Tip – there’s an “order” to stamp these that will help you out – check the video at about the 16:30 point to see how to get it done!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pear Pizzazz mat and then to the back of my Petal Pink card base.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the completed easel card to the other side of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the stamped Flowering Tulips flowers on the front…

…and more of the Flowering Fields DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Boy – easels are one of my fave fun folds cuz they’re so easy to do!  But they look so stinkin’ cool, don’t they??  And the Flowering Fields DSP is simply stunning – what a great job Stampin’ Up! has done creating this one for us!  The coordinating Flowering Tulips set – with the bundled Tulips Dies that will make stunning 3D tulips! – is just gorgeous.  I love it so much!  And – if you don’t already have the Stitched So Sweetly Die Set...just get it.  That’s all I’m going to say! 😉

I hope you like!
