Morning, guys! And happy Friday! I hope your week has been good and that the weekend has something fun in store!
Just a tiny recap…TOMORROW is the last day to save on my Special Bundles from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog! It’s a great way to gather up some goodies AND save a little cashola at the same time! Get the deets here!
And – the Double Peppermints Ordering Special is still in play for you – thru the 11th!
Okay. Card. If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube video then you got to see this one being made in real time and I appreciate you spending part of your week with me! If not – but you’d like to see the replay – here ’tis!
I really like the Abstract Beauty DSP – and it’s a cool size, too – it comes as 4″ x 6″ sheets in an array of bright and pretty colors, with gold foiling on one side. The coordinating Hello Beautiful stamp set with its bundled geometric (and perfect for layering and collaging!) Beautiful Shapes die set – is a perfect complement to the paper. Take a look-see:
I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the new Hive 3D Embossing Folder (a really cool folder, in case you don’t have it yet!).
Then, using Liquid Glue, I adhered one of the many designs from the Abstract Beauty DSP on an angle across the panel. Using my Paper Trimmer, I trimmed off the excess DSP and then matted the panel on Night of Navy.
Using the smallest hexagon die in the Beautiful Shapes die set, I cut two hexagons from two more designs in the DSP pack. These are adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I pulled out the coordinating Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack and, using Liquid Glue, adhered a couple of gold-foil leaves and a Just Jade leaf (these are all pre-cut in the Ephemera Pack).
I tied a small bow from a length of Misty Moonlight 1/8″ Cotton Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Hello Beautiful in Night of Navy. I cut it with the next-to-smallest hexagon from Beautiful Shapes and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it over the top of the bow.
I used Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional to add another flower from the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack. And a Just Jade dot from the Adhesive-backed Hexagons finished off the card front.
On the inside, I stamped a flower from Hello Beautiful in Petal Pink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I added a Magenta Madness flower center. I made a little sticky-note mask of the flower and put it in place. Then I stamped a few small leaves from the set in Just Jade. When I picked up the mask – the leaves were “behind” the flower! Then, I added an Adhesive-backed Hexagon as a flower center.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Thick Basic White cardbase, popped the card front on with Stampn’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got another of the little Hello Beautiful flowers and leaves on the front…
…and a little more of the Abstract Beauty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love how cheerful this card is, thanks to the Abstract Beauty DSP! And the fun Hello Beautiful set with the bundled Beautiful Shapes die cuts are a great counterpoint to the florals, don’t you think?!
I hope you like!
If you’d like to re-create this card, all the products you’ll need and the card cuts are down below!
