Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a theme challenge to work with – AND a new hopper – help me welcome Terry Lynn Bright to the hop line-up! I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
Our challenge today is perfect for Fall! And – it’s perfect for the Time of Giving Bundle which is what I pulled off the shelf to use. Take a look-see:
Can you guess our challenge?! No – it is NOT “use a bow”! 😉
And I decided to play with the color challenge at the TGIF Challenge this week – it seemed right for our leaves theme!
I started by cutting a BUNCH of the little Very Vanilla leaves using the 5-leaf die in the Gift Giving Die set – this set is bundled with Time of Giving from Very Vanilla cardstock. I sent it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine a few times – as you might imagine! 😉
I used Liquid Glue to adhere all the leaves all over another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Once they were all down and in place – I trimmed the panel down to the size of my card front and matted it on Blackberry Bliss.
I tied a little bow from the black twine in the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.
I stamped the Time of Giving sentiment in Tuxedo Black on a strip of Very Vanilla and popped it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut some rose gold leaves from the Gold & Rose Gold 6″ x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper using the Gift Giving Dies. I picked one of the larger leaves and colored it with my Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend. This is fun to do with either of the papers in this Specialty pack – it changes the color AND leaves some really pretty sparkle!
I adhered the leaf to the end of the sentiment strip with Liquid Glue and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a leaf from the Time of Giving set in stamped-off-once Blackberry Bliss.
Note: this is a single stamp that has three images on it. I cut the three leaves apart – leaving the rubber in place so that if I want to, I can put them all on a block and stamp them together. Or I can stamp them one at a time! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the stamped-off-once Blackberry Bliss leaf on the front…
…and again on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Super clean – super simple – but…with a lot of wow!! I love the little leaf dies from the Gift Giving die set – and the leaf images and sentiments in the bundled Time of Giving stamp set are perfect with them! I also hope you’ll try some Stampin’ Blend coloring on the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper – it’s so pretty!
