Stampin’ Up! Clever Cats in a Witch’s Hat Cute Halloween Card

Happy Happy HAWWWMP DAY!!  It’s a fun day – Stampin’ Up! has updated the Clearance Rack with new goodies at prices up to 60% off the original.  You’ll wanna head over to check them all out – but…be sure to come back here after to check out the CLEVER and CUTE Halloween card I’ve made for you, okay?

Well?

Are you done?  Did you get some great deals?  Whoo-hoo!  So…now let’s look at our card!

I had to pull out the crazy-cute Clever Cats stamp set and I let it do pretty much all the work, with an assist from a single die in the Frightful Tags Die set and some fun Cute Halloween DSP.  Take a look-see:

I was playing along with The Paper Players theme challenge.

And – I played along with the Just Us Girls challenge, too!  I mean – it just made sense! 🙂

I started with some fun paper from Cute Halloween that I matted on Basic Black for the card front.

Then I placed a piece of Basic White into my Stamparatus and started stamping!

I covered the “stick” portion of the broomstick image in the Clever Cats set with a sticky note and inked the bristles with Bumble Bee ink – then stamped the white panel.  Then I covered the bristles – inked the stick with Soft Suede ink and stamped it.

I stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather.

Then, I used the Stamparatus to add the Clever Cat tuxedo-kitty (his expression is priceless!) perched on the broomstick.  Tip:  DO do your stamping in this order – that way the sentiment has plenty of room and isn’t overlapping the hanging tail.  Ask me how I figured this out…. 🤷‍♀️

I cut the image out with the largest smooth-edge die in the Layering Circles die set and matted it on a Black Glitter Paper mat (cut with the largest scalloped-edge die) with Liquid Glue.

I popped the whole thing onto the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Highland Heather stars from the Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins.

At this point I realized I’d messed up.  The theme was “spooky”.  I’d ended up with too stinkin’ cute.

So – added a Highland Heather witch’s hat – cut with the Frightful Tags die – and THAT tipped this card right over to spoooooooookkkyyyy!! 😉

I mean – don’t you think??!

With the card front done – and really spooky! – I stamped another broomstick on a Basic White panel using the same masking and Stamparatus-ing that I’d done on the front.  Then I added a second sentiment from Clever Cats.  I inked the top and bottom lines of the sentiment separately so I could divide the image above and below the stick.

I added the kitty face in Tuxedo Black.

Then I realized I’d smudged the panel. so….I added the little spider in Tuxedo Black and his “web” in Highland Heather.  A few more Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins – this time in black – brought it all together.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Highland Heather card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.  And really REALLY SPOOKY!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little kitty glaring at the spider on the front…

…and more of the Cute Halloween DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Seriously – how cute it this little Clever Cats stamp set??  The artists totally NAILED this puss’s expression on every image!  And the one where he’s stuffed himself in the box is SO TOTALLY SPOT ON!  I just love it!  I think it’s so cool that the simple addition of the Frightful Tags die cut witch’s hat just totally changed the whole “feel” from cute to terrifyingly spooky! 😉  And the Cute Halloween DSP is as pretty as it is cute! 🙂

I hope you like!

Stamps-N-Lingers Fundraiser for a GREAT Cause and a DOUBLE Peppermints Ordering Special!

Through 9 October 2021!

I recently came across an organization that does good for two populations that I care about very much – and I know you do, too.  K9’s for Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma.  Which is awesome.  But – here’s the kicker and the piece that made me sit up and take notice!!

K9s For Warriors Logo

The majority of their K9s are rescued from shelters or surrendered by their owners. In saving these animals from abandonment or euthanasia, this great organization gives them purpose. Each pair who graduates from the program represent two lives saved – the Service Dog and the Warrior.

But wait – there’s more.  Dogs who do not graduate from their program qualify for a “career change” and are adopted out to loving homes or they enter the K9FW Station Dog Program – which lets them help to address and mitigate the stress factors common to the work and environment of dispatch operators, first responders, and police officers

Okay – so…HOW COOL IS THAT?!?  Veteran – WIN.  A Dog’s Life Saved?!? WIN WIN!

So.

How can YOU help ME help THEM??

Finn Fan Fix

I leave a lot of lights on at night while I’m still walking around and doing stuff.

Why?

Well….

I promise – he DISAPPEARS in the dark.  And I’m not sure who’d be more scared if I fell on my….you know….tripping over him in the dark!

It’s a real helpful habit he has! 🤦‍♀️
