Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees Love of the Season Christmas

Happy Tuesday, y’all!  Hope the week is going well for you! 🙂

I’ve got another Christmas card for you in the non-traditional colors from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP – I love it so much!  And I cut some cool trees and added pretty sentiments from the coordinating Whimsical Trees stamp set with the bundled Christmas Trees dies.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was loosely inspired by the sketch side of the FUSION challenge.

I started with some Blushing Bride paper from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP that I matted on Misty Moonlight for the card front.  Then I added a Misty Moonlight design – also matted on Misty Moonlight cardstock.

My tree stand began with a large Christmas Trees die tree cut from a Mint Macaron piece of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.

I stamped a smaller Whimsical Trees tree in Polished Pink on Basic White and cut it with the coordinating die.  Finally, I cut the “open” design tree with the Christmas Trees die from Mossy Meadow.

I used the garland and stars dies from Christmas Trees and cut them from a piece of gold paper from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.  I adhered the garland to the DSP tree using Liquid Glue.

The trees really weren’t tall enough for what I needed so…I sliced them in half – and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Whimsical Trees in Misty Moonlight on Basic White and cut it with the large die in the Stitched So Sweetly die set.  This is popped over the trees with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the little gold stars here and there and…the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Whimsical Trees in Misty Moonlight on Basic White.  In the corner I added a small image from Whimsical Trees in Mint Macaron (two are stamped in full strength ink and the last in stamped-off-once ink!).  Then I cut some more of the gold stars and added them with Liquid Glue.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some Whimsical Trees trees in Mint Macaron on the front…

…and more of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love these Whimsical Trees images & sentiments and the die cut Christmas Trees!  I hope that you’ll put the “split the trees in half” trick in your kit bag (and will make LOTS of trees in the upcoming weeks leading into Christmas!).  The Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP is simply…stunning, with it’s totally non-traditional colors and pretty silver foil embossed images.

I hope you like!
