Stampin’ Up! Stitched Snowflake Wishes Thank You with Video Tutorial

Happy Middle-of-the-Weekend Day!  AKA Sunday!  I mean – I HOPE it’s just the mid-way thru your weekend and that you have a day off to look forward to tomorrow!

Just a programming note – since I’m not a bank or post office – I WILL be doing my Monday Zoom the Craftroom at 2pm Eastern time!  If you’ve ordered from me this month – you’ve got the zoom link and I hope to see you then!  If you haven’t – there’s still time to get it! 😉

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me.  If not, but you’d like to see how to make this wintry card on YouTube, here ’tis!

I used the pretty Snowflake Wishes stamp set – from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog – and the Stitched Snowflakes Die set – from the Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog to put this blizzardy thank you card together.  Some Peaceful Place Specialty DSP sets the stage and is a foil for stenciled snowflakes from the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks and a Thanks & Hello embossed circle.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.

The wintry color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Peaceful Place Specialty DSP to a Misty Moonlight mat for the card front.

Next up – I used a Blending Brush and the snowflake mask from the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks to add Balmy Blue snowflakes to a small Basic White panel.  This I matted on Misty Moonlight and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a Basic White circle using a Layering Circles die and embossed it in the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folder (the “thanks” folder, specifically).  Then I matted it on a scalloped Misty Mat circle – also cut using the Layering Circles die set.

I adhered the matted circle onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut out a veritable blizzard of Stitched Snowflakes from all three finishes in the Silver Foil Specialty Pack and adhered them around the edge of the matted circle – tucking a couple underneath it – using Liquid Glue.

Using two lengths of silver twine from the Simply Elegant Trim Pack, I tied a simple bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the Snowflake Wishes sentiment in Balmy Blue on a piece of Basic White and cut it with one of the dies in the Stitched Snowflakes set – with the coordinating stitch-embossing die in place.  Then I popped it into place using several double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Pool Party Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a few regular Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Snowflake Wishes sentiment in Balmy Blue to a Basic White panel.  In the corners I stamped the snowflakes from Snowflake Wishes in stamped-off-once Balmy Blue.  I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the middles of the snowflakes and a single Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewel by the sentiment.

I used Stampin Seal to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and into my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some full-strength Balmy Blue snowflakes on the front…

…and more of the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this so pretty!?  I love all the silvery tones from the Silver Specialty Paper pack cut with the Stitched Snowflakes Dies, don’t you!?  They’re perfect atop the stenciled Adorning Designs Decorative Masked snowflakes and Peaceful Place Specialty DSP! And I think the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folder really adds a nice tone-on-tone element to the card!

I hope you like!

Beautiful, awesome, wunnermus—and all those superlatives! I so love this with all those shiny, stitched snowflakes all layered up with a bow on top! (Well, on top of the snowflakes, under the snowflake sentiment!) Big winner in my book! TFS
