Stampin’ Up! Holly Jolly Wishes with Peaceful Deer Christmas card

Good morning, y’all – I hope your week is going well!  I’m busily getting ready for our Stampin’ Up! Backstage Event starting on Thursday AND for our Check out the Krew Event on Saturday (which I hope you’re planning to hop in to!).  Busy week!!

When week’s are busy (and…when are they NOT!?) – then we need quick and easy cards.  Especially when we’re starting to think about sending Christmas cards, right??  So – I’ve got another super easy and quick christmas card for your consideration this year!  It uses the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set and Peaceful Deer Bundle.  With a HUGE pop of fun and color from the FREE Peaceful Prints DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

I started with two pieces of Peaceful Prints DSP that I matted on Cherry Cobbler with Stampin’ Seal for the card front.  Peaceful Prints is a gorgeous pack of Designer paper that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration, thru 30 Sep, with a $50+ purchase (before shipping & tax)!

I wrapped a length of Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2″ Ribbon around the “seam” – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the big sentiment from Holly Jolly Wishes in Cherry Cobbler.  I cut the sentiment with the middle die in the Scalloped Contours Die set – offsetting it to the right side of the die cut a little bit.

Then I used Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the sentiment onto the card front.

Using the Deer Builder Punch – bundled with the Peaceful Deer stamp set – I cut the plaid deer from one of the designs in the Peaceful Prints DSP.  I LOVE when Stampin’ Up! gives us dies and/or punches that cut images from our wunnermus papers!! 🙂

I popped the punched out deer onto the sentiment with a few Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – added a few black Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on Basic White.  Then I added some of the pretty pine trees from the Peaceful Deer stamp set in Garden Green – and a few fun little star sequins! 🙂

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Basic Black card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Peaceful Deer trees in Garden Green on the front…

…and some Cherry Cobbler buffalo plaid paper from the Peaceful Prints DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Easy and pretty – with plaid and pines?  Yes, please!  I love the big, steal-the-show sentiments from the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set – and the Deer Builder Punch is so fun – especially when combined with the DSP image AND the images/sentiments in its bundled Peaceful Deer!
