Speaking of Butterfly Bouquet, I’m a little obsessed with the Brilliant Wings die cut butterflies right now! If you were able to join me for my YouTube live yesterday, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me – and getting another peek at them! If not, here’s the replay!
For this one, I paired the Brilliant Wings butterflies with sentiments from the Art Gallery Bundle – including the cool die cut sentiment from Floral Gallery! – and a bit of Fine Art Floral DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one – although it’s not a mini slim card – comes from the current Mojo Monday sketch challenge!
Here’s a cool thing. This particular design in the Fine Art Floral DSP is an exact match to the design in the Golden Garden Specialty Acetate! I’ve used that here to add a little pizzazz to this card! You can get 6 card fronts from a 12″ x 12″ sheet of both papers!!
I cut a piece of the Fine Art Floral and the corresponding piece of the Golden Garden Specialty Acetate, then I stacked them up (aligning the pattern) and cut the center out with a Stitched Rectangle Die.
I adhered the frame and cutout piece of the Fine Art Floral DSP to a Terracotta Tile mat using Liquid Glue. Then I adhered the acetate piece using my Fine Tip Glue Pen – putting little dots of glue only behind the printed parts of the acetate.
I cut a piece of Basic White with the largest square Stitched Shapes Die and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I cut the big sentiment from Floral Gallery in Terracotta Tile – then adhered just three of the words to the square with Liquid Glue.
I wrapped a piece of Terracotta Tile Scalloped Edge Linen Ribbon around the bottom of the panel, securing it in back with Glue Dots.
From a piece of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP (coming on 2 March), I used the big die in the Brilliant Wings die set (also 2 March!) to cut 6 butterflies. I used a couple of smaller detailed dies to cut three Petal Pink butterflies and a single Terracotta Tile butterfly. I adhered the detailed Petal Pink die cuts to two of the DSP butterflies and the Terracotta Tile detailed cut with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered the butterflies to the card front with Liquid Glue – and tucked a Stampin’ Dimensional under them as needed to support them!
Finally, I added a few Champagne Rhinestone Jewels and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped an Art Gallery sentiment in Terracotta Tile on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the big flower (this is a three-step-image!) – the large image is Petal Pink then the second and third step images are stamped-off-once Terracotta Tile! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Terracotta Tile mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the pretty Art Gallery flower on the front…
….and more of the Fine Art Floral DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Yes – yes, I CAN figure out how to put a butterfly from the Butterfly Bouquet bundle on almost any card! 🙂 And they look awesome with the gorgeous and stunning Fine Art Floral DSP with some sentiments and images from the Art Gallery Bundle, don’t you think!?

After getting off the treadmill in the morning, I’m a little sweaty. And a little pissy cuz…treadmill! Bleh.
