Stampin’ Up! Have a Hoot Christmas For the Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – Ann’s getting us thinking about Christmas again with a Clean-And-Simple theme challenge this week.  I know it’ll give your creative mojo a bump!  So I hope you’ll come and play along with us!

I pulled out the sweet little Have a Hoot stamp set (didn’t need to use the bundled Peek-a-Hoot dies this time – but they’re there!) and used it as the starting point for my wintery Christmas card – with the pretty Snowflake Splendor DSP playing backup.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our Paper Players badge – I hope you’ll come and play along! 🙂

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday for my layout.

I started with a piece of the Snowflake Spendor DSP matted on Highland Heather cardstock for the card front.

On another piece of Highland Heather, I cut the edge with the Peony Dies scalloped edge die.  I adhered another Snowflake Splendor designs to it and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I put a piece of Whisper White cardstock into the Stamparatus and then used the Marker-to-Rubber technique to color and stamp parts of the Have A Hoot image.  Hint:  Using the Stamparatus is the bomb-diggity with this method, because you can just keep coloring and stamping as many times as you need to lay down any color you want.  And – the Cling stamps (aka Red Rubber) work the best with it, but you CAN do it with photopolymers, too! 🙂

I colored the owl with my Smoky Slate Marker, the snowflakes and present with Purple Posy, the branch with Crumb Cake and the leaves with Pretty Peacock.

When it was colored to my exacting standards (😎) – I cut the image with a circle Stitched Shapes die and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the Have a Hoot sentiment in Highland Heather and fussy cut the two words.

I tied a little bow from a piece of the Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and a dab of Liquid Glue,  I popped one sentiment word over the bow and then added the second word with just the Mini Dimensionals.

I stuck on a few Adhesive-backed Snowflakes here and there on the card front, and added a couple of Coastal Cabana Holiday Rhinestones – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a Highland Heather-matted strip of Snowflake Splendor DSP and some Adhesive-backed Snowflakes to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the little Have a Hoot owl on the front (colored just like I’d done for the one on the front of the card!)…

…and more Snowflake Splendor DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  These little Have-a-Hoot guys just kill me….they’re so stinkin’ cute!  And the set covers Halloween cards as well as Christmas.  The matching Peek-a-Hoot dies (bundled for a 10% savings!) are super handy when you need to cut your images out – no fussy cutting!

And there’s no denying the frosty beauty of the Snowflake Splendor DSP!

I hope you like!

If you want to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below along with the card cuts!

Now…take a look at what the rest of the team has to offer!  Then pull out your ink and papers and have a little fun challenge! 🙂

I’ve got openings in my Online Host Club starting on 1 Dec – and new little bonus for my Customers – which will ALSO be one of the new benefits of being in an Online Host Club!  Whoo-hoo!

What is an Online Host Club?  Glad you asked!

An Online Host Club lets you get some of the benefits of being a host – without doing any of the WORK of being a host!  And – it helps you build your crafting tool chest a little at a time.  While earning FREE goodies!

A club consists of three folks doing two consecutive three-month terms.   Each person commits to buying $50 before shipping and tax each month.

Here’s how it shakes out…this is just an example!  As you can see, each member gets to host TWICE during the six months!!

At the end of the club, I let each member select a stamp set up to $25 that I send to them for free.

What are the other bennies of a Host Club?

  • At least a $150.00 Workshop order during EACH of your host months!
  • Which means you’ll have at least $15.00 of Stampin’ Rewards dollars to spend on the exclusive Host Stamp Sets, or any other current Stampin’ Up! product during your host months.  Stampin’ Rewards are Stampin’ Up!-speak for “free money”!
  • You’ll earn DOUBLE PEPPERMINTS on your Host Club Orders.  Each $50 order earns 4 reward points, a $75 order earns you 6 reward points, etc. You’ll earn at least 24 reward points during your membership, meaning you’ll automatically earn at least ONE $40 Peppermint rewards gift!  (Remember – when you gather up 16 Peppermints, you get to select a free reward gift valued up to $40!).  You can get more info about my Punkin’ Heads Customer Rewards Program right here.
  • You’ll receive a FREE monthly tutorial with 4-5 projects and access to all previous tutorials for the duration of the club. Right now, there are over FIFTY tutorials available only to Online Host Club members.  That’s around TWO HUNDRED FIFTY not-seen-on-our-blogs projects for you to use as inspiration (and they ALL have all the card cuts and instructions!)
  • Access to my Weekly Zoom The Craftroom online Zoom Party – where you can come craft and chat with me and other customers! YEP – THIS IS NEW!!
  • FREE catalogs during your membership term
  • FREE shipping in your TWO Host Months
  • A FREE STAMP SET of your choice valued up to $25 at the end of each “term”, any current set (excluding host sets)!
  • At the end of the full 6 months, you’ll get first dibs at signing up for the next 6 month term!

When you join the club – you’ll commit to the full six months – in two consecutive three-month increments.   This is a great time to join a club – with the pending release of the 2021 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog and SALE-A-BRATION fixin’ to start in January, too!

Don’t delay – there are limited spaces available!

If you want to join us or if you have ANY questions about how it would work…please drop me a note at stamps-n-lingers@comcast.net!

Now – the new Customer Bonus!

So – I’m setting up a “ZOOM The Craftroom” time with me every week!  Every Wednesday, I’ll be in my craft room doing…something!… and you can pop in and we’ll craft together and chat or…whatever!  Very casual – no makeup required (I for sure won’t have any on!).  It’s a great time to ask questions or get help with problems or issues you’re having!  Or…we can just work on our projects together and yak.

Like the Ordering Gifts – you’ll receive the Zoom meeting link when you place an order of $50 or greater (before shipping and tax)!  There’ll be a new link every month.  All you do is download Zoom and then you can click on the link at the start of the Office Hours and you’ll be in!  No account needed.  🙂

Finn Fan Fix

On Thursday evening, we went to The Pelican Inn – the venue – and had dinner with most of Courtney’s family and the wedding party.  It was a low country boil and it was sooooo good!  On newspaper and everything! That’s Matt and Katelyn (our recently married couple!) on the left and FOG Ed on the right! 🙂  The MOG (Jan) is off the picture – that’s her hand holding a shrimp.  Yes – I know.  Awesome picture, Mare!  But look how nicely I framed the cocktail sauce! LOL

I got a picture of the lovely Courtney (the BTB) with all the gorgeous flowers she and her family would be fashioning into bouquets on Friday.

After, we mingled around in the beautiful inn and…I learned Mexican Train Dominoes.  And by “learn” I mean….hobbled thru two games with some help from the other players!

I think the other three players were pretty shocked that I won both games!!

Not, however, as shocked as I was!! 😂😂😂
