Stampin’ Up! Love of Leaves Fun Fold with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday!  So – last night was pretty fun!  We had a concert from Pat Benatar and yes…she DID hit us with her best shot.  I mean, we belong AND we are young-adjacent, so… you know! 😉

If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – if not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis! 🙂

This card, which features the gorgeous Love of Leaves bundle and stunningly pretty Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP – is an uber-easy fun fold called a Triple Fold card.  I saw this fun-fold on a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial from Mary Bush this week and decided I needed to do it for you right away! 🙂  Take a look-see:

I used the inspiration photo from The Card Concept.  I’d say this is a clean and layered card? 😉

For this one, I selected the color palette using the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge this week.

I started with a piece of Cajun Craze cut at 5 1/2″ x 11″.  Then I used my Simply Scored tool to score along the long edge at 1 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 9 3/4″.

I folded the card at the 5 1/2″ mark and then folded at the other two score lines in the OPPOSITE direction.  And that made the Triple Fold.

Two different pieces of Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP, matted on Pear Pizzaz, decorated the front of the card and the two flaps – all the panels are adhered with Liquid Glue.

My belly band is a 1″ x 11″ piece of Pear Pizzazz, folded around the folded card and “seamed” together on the front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White – I stamped the Love of Leaves sentiment in Pear Pizzazz – and cut it with a label die from the Tasteful Labels die set.

I stamped two of the leaves – one in Cajun Craze and one in Bumble Bee – on Whisper White and then used the cut die and the emboss die to cut them out.

I adhered the Bumble Bee leaf to the sentiment label with Liquid Glue.  Then I added a Linen Thread figure eight bow with a Glue Dot and an In Good Taste Element with Liquid Glue.  I popped the second leaf over it all with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the sentiment to the belly band with Liquid Glue, added a Gold Glitter Enamel Dot and that was it for the front of the card.

On the inside, I stamped a second Love of Leaves sentiment in Pear Pizzazz on a Whisper White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the Bumble Bee leaf – then added a Sticky note mask over top and stamped the Cajun Craze leaf.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pear Pizzazz mat and into the card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Love of Leaves on the front…

…and a bit more of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  One of my favorite sets ever – Love of Leaves with its wunnermus Stitched Leaves dies! – perfectly decorates the front of this super-easy Triple Fold fun fold card!  And…all those layers let the stunning Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP really shine, don’t you think?

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

So – the other day, Finny rode with his Dad to the bank.

He likes the bank.  Cuz…they give a cookie to the dog!

Buck never cared – wouldn’t even touch the cookie.

Finn is NOT Buck!

Well – for whatever reason – the teller didn’t see him or realize he was there.  So…no bone.

🙁

We went again yesterday.

Hello the BANK!!!

Do they see me??!

THERE’S A DOG IN THE CAR!!!

IT’S MEEEEE!!!

You’ll be glad to know – they DID see him and a cookie DID come thru the vacuum tube with our cash!

Phew!! 😉

Congratulations Mary! Knew once you retired from your other job that you would take off and soar! It’s been fun watching you grow and work on your goals!
Might have to start carrying a cookie in the car for when the bank misses the dog again! Can’t have Finn being broken hearted!
    Hugs

    • stampsnlingers

Yes! The emergency bank-messed-it-up bone. Excellent idea! Thank you so much, Paula – I appreciate your kind words and support! 🙂

  2. YAYAYAY!!!!! Huge congrats on your global ranking!! #52 out of 60,000 Demonstrators is AMAZING!!! So glad to be able to celebrate with you virtually!! 😀 Pretty card too, love the layering and the die cut leaves. And thank goodness for the attentive teller…maybe Finn needs to start barking on command when the speaker is on for his side. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – I’ll tell him there’s a figment in there and then he’ll bark, for sure! Thank you so much, Amy – you’ve taught me so stinkin’ much and I appreciate you no end. 🙂 Still wish we were celebrating together – like in person!!

    • Well, I am so sorry to have missed the announcement! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Wow! 52 globally is a fantastic achievement, and you have earned it. I was having connectivity issues last night, so missed it. Amy did very well too! I did see that before the troubles.
I think the emergency cookie is a great idea. Disappointed kids are so sad.
It would have been so nice to celebrate with you in person.

      • stampsnlingers

Wow, Mary…..number 52!! That is so awesome. I cheered out loud all by myself every time I saw your name come up!! Weren’t you number 99 last year, or am I mixed up?? That would be a BIG jump.
I love when doggies get cookies at the bank…..but very sad if they forget…..I’d TELL them…HEY….there’s a doggie here waiting to be rewarded!!
This fun-fold is beautiful….can’t wait to try it…..thinking of lots of pretty DSP that would also work…..

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – I was #100 – so…I was pretty tickled! And surprised, too! Thank you so much, Faith – I appreciate how much you’ve supported me!! 🙂

  10. Ah, the joy of a treat…..especially a doggy biscuit! We have 3 big dogs, our pool guy, the bug guy and the yard guy all carry biscuits….when they arrive, guard dog duty over, begging and just utter cuteness takes over. Your card – made my heart sing….one of my many favorite dsp sets and stamp sets. You brought them all together beautifully with your fun fold card. Thanks so much for joining us this week at CC&S

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Shannon! Yes – I always hope Finn would remember he’s a guard dog! Sort of! Appreciate you stopping by and the kind words! 🙂
