Stampin’ Up! Nothing’s Better Than With Video Tutorial for The Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – Laurie’s got a Clean-And-Simple challenge for us this week – which, as you know, is TOTALLY my kind of card! 😉 Which means it was a challenge for me!  It’s a SWEET one – and one that I know will give your creative mojo a bump!  So I hope you’ll come and play along with us!

If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me!  If you weren’t able to watch the live version, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!

For this one, I pulled out my Nothing’s Better Than stamp set (cookies!!) and the bundled Love You More Than dies and then played with one of the fun edge dies in the new Curvy Die set (available to you on 3 Nov!).  Take a look-see:

And here’s our Paper Players badge – I hope you’ll come and play along! 🙂

I borrowed the layout from the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge!

And the color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge!

I started with a piece of scipty Crumb Cake paper from the World of Good Specialty DSP and I cut a curved edge from the right side with the dotted-curved die in the new Curvy Die set (coming on 3 Nov).

Using my Stamparatus – I stamped two sentiments from the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the DSP panel, then adhered it to a Terracotta Tile mat.

On a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, I stamped the cookie image five times in Tuxedo Black and cut them with their die in the bundled Love You More Than die set.

I used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to color the cookies – then adhered them to the card front.  The top – bottom – and middle cookies are popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the other two are adhered with Liquid Glue.

I adhered a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock to a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet and cut the “cookies” sentiment with a die from the set.  Then I stuck it onto the card front at a jaunty angle.

I ran a length of 1/4″ Terracotta Tile ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack thru an Antiqued Slide and then used Glue Dots to secure it on the back of the panel.

Finally, I used Glue Dots to adhere two Antiqued Corners to the right hand corners of the panel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus again to stamp two more sentiments and the cookie from Nothing’s Better Than in Tuxedo Black on a Very Vanilla panel.  I colored the cookie with my Crumb Cake Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Terracotta Tile mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some more cookies – “too many cookies” is NOT a thing….

…and a little more of the World of Good Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et voila!  Did this card make you hungry?  Do you have a sudden craving for chocolate chip cookies?  If so – then might I suggest this Nothing’s Better Than bundle?  You get COOKIES.  AND Coffee.  AND cocktails!  And…SENTIMENT DIES!!  So fun!

And we all love the World of Good Specialty DSP with its brass foil accents, right?

I hope you like!

If you want to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below along with the card cuts!

Now…go get a cup of something hot and a cookie (or five!) and take a look at what the rest of the team has to offer!  Then pull out your ink and papers and have a little fun with our CAS theme!! 🙂
