Stampin’ Up! Gilded Autumn Greetings with Video Tutorial for The Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – Ann has a wonderful color challenge – perfect for this time of year!  🙂 It’s a fun one – and one that I know will give your creative mojo a bump!  So I hope you’ll come and play along with us!

If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me!  If you weren’t able to watch the live version, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!

The Autumn Greetings stamp set is gorgeous – especially when you factor in the bundled Autumn Essentials die set.  I used multiple elements from the stamp and die sets plus the stunning Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP to make this Autumn card.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our Paper Players badge – I hope you’ll come and play along! 🙂

And my layout is from the Mojo Monday sketch this month.

I started with a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock and stamped the small Autumn Greetings pumpkin all over it in Cinnamon Cider to create a tone-on-tone “designer paper”.  Then I adhered it to an Early Espresso mat with Liquid Glue.

Next I took a piece of foiled Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP, matted on Early Espresso, and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  The final piece is another – Cajun Craze – panel, matted on Early Espresso and adhered with Liquid Glue.

I stamped a sentiment from Autumn Greetings in Mossy Meadow on Whisper White and cut it with a die from the Tasteful Labels die set.  Using Paper Snips, I cut straight across the tag – and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the wreath die from the Painted Petals Die set to cut a Mossy Meadow wreath – which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere a few loops of 1/4″ Faux Suede Trim to the wreath.

Using several dies from the Autumn Essentials set, I cut three Crushed Curry grasses, two Crushed Curry solid pumpkins, a Cinnamon Cider solid pumpkin and three detailed pumpkins from bronze Brushed Metallic card stock.

Then, using Liquid Glue, I built the collage.  Everything is adhered with Liquid Glue up to the final smallest pumpkin – it’s popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot here and there – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Autumn Essentials in Mossy Meadow on Whisper White.  In the corner, I added the little pumpkin in Cinnamon Cider.  Using my Blender Pen – and ink from the lid of my Cinnamon Cider and Mossy Meadow ink pads, I colored the pumpkin.  Then I added a single Cinnamon Cider enamel dot.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the little Autumn Greetings pumpkin on the front…

…and I added a little more of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The big, bold floral image in Autumn Greetings is just “part of the story” – the other images are just as sweet and useful and the sentiments are…stunningly pretty!  And the Autumn Essential Die set – bundled for a 10% savings – is one of my faves (I LOVE two-part pumpkin die cuts!!).

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

On Saturday afternoon our friends Matt and Chris came over.  They’d called Wayne to say they were coming, so they drove straight to the barn.

Finn apparently heard them – he came to me telling me in no-uncertain-terms that he NEEDED to go out.

NOW!

Since he’d finished his breakfast a little earlier, I figured…sure – I mean, a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do, am I right?

Well – he took off like a BULLET to the barn.  I didn’t see it, but I’m betting there was much boy-slamming and leaping about and wiggle butt-ing!

A little later – Wayne comes back in the house with…

That is wet.  And mud.  And about 3 gazillion hitchikers.

Not.  Even.  Exaggerating!

Finn proceeded to try to rid himself of the hitchhikers – a futile effort.  That’s the odd face he’s making!

Observe.

Wayne got back in the house with the rake and we started brushing.

I hate those things!

Guess they had a good “boys day”, though, so….there’s that!
