Stampin’ Up! North Pole Wishes & Wonder for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided to go with a Christmas theme and pulled out an as-yet-uninked set – the Wishes & Wonder bundle – which includes the fun North Pole Wonder Dies.  I added some “Tis the Season DSP and…a couple of berries from the Poinsettia Dies.  Take a look-see:

And..here’s the sketch we all worked with this week!  As you can tell, I set it on it’s side!

I started with a piece of Shaded Spruce plaid from the ‘Tis the Season DSP and matted it on Real Red for the card front.  Then I matted a strip of a second design on Real Red and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used my brand spanking new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (whoo-hoo!!) to cut some Shaded Spruce pine boughs with the North Pole Wonder dies and a couple Real Red Poinsettia Dies berries.   I also cut the deer from a piece of Bronze Brushed Cardstock.

I used SCEM (that’s his name – SCEM!) to emboss a piece of Copper Brushed Metallic Cardstock in the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.  Then I cut it with a circle die from the North Pole Wonder dies.

I adhered a Square Vellum Doily with Liquid Glue to begin the collage.  Next is the greenery and…red-dery….  Then I topped it with the embossed copper circle.  Finally, I added the Bronze deer die cut.

I stamped a Wishes & Wonder sentiment in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

I added a couple of the small North Pole Wonder pine boughs with Liquid Glue – then stuck three little Real Red Wonderful Gems on like…you know…berries! 😉

I tied a bow from a piece of Real Red 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I stuck another Glue Dot on top of the bow.  Using that Glue Dot – and a couple of double-stacks of Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the sentiment.

To finish off, I added some clear Wonderful Gems to a few of the large pine boughs – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the mistletoe image from Wishes & Wonder in Shaded Spruce on a Whisper White panel.  I colored the berries with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker – and added a few Real Red Wonderful Gems!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Early Espresso card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Wishes & Wonder mistletoe on the front (no Wonderful Gems, though!)…

…and more of the plaid ‘Tis the Season DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wishes & Wonder is a fun – sort of old-fashioned-vintage-y feeling stamp set and the matching North Pole Wonder Dies is so fun – check out the other dies that you’ve got to play with!

And the ‘Tis the Season DSP is the perfect complement to that bundle – and the entire Wonder of the Season Suite!
