Stampin’ Up! Cherish the Season and Joy Dies Sneak Peek!

MKEMIKEMIKEMIKEMIIIIIIKE!  Guess what day it is!!

Yup – it’s HAWWWWWMP DAY!!!

Got to keep as much normalcy as we can, right?  So we need to keep up with our traditions! 😉

My card today is another sneak peek of the new Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog – which is less than 10 days away from going live!  This one uses the new Joy Dies for a sentiment and the Cherish the Season bundle with the pretty Sounds of the Season Dies.  And – some of the wunnermus ‘Tis The Season DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Global-Design-Project sketch challenge this week – I LOVE angled panels!

I started with a panel of Basic Black card stock that I embossed in one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders.  These are mini folders – so I ran the panel thru the die cutting and embossing machine twice to get the whole panel embossed.  Then I adhered it to the front of my Basic Black card base with Liquid Glue.

I matted two coordinating pieces of ‘Tis The Season DSP on Cherry Cobbler and adhered them at jaunty angles on the card front with Liquid Glue.

With some Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a length of the Shaded Spruce 1″ Argyle Satin Ribbon from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo pack across the front of the card.

I used a Glue Dot to adhere a cool Gold Hoop Embellishment to the card front.

Using the Joy Dies, I cut three of the “Peace” sentiment – they sort of “stack”.  The bottom layer is Cherry Cobbler, then comes a piece of gold Brushed Metallic 12″ x 12″ card stock and the final (small script) die cut is Shaded Spruce.  I adhered them all together with Liquid Glue.

I used the medium bell dies from Sounds of the Season to cut a gold Brushed Metallic and Cherry Cobbler bell.  And the pine bough dies to cut boughs in Shaded Spruce and Just Jade.

I adhered the bell die cuts together with Liquid Glue and then popped them over the hoop with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added the pine boughs with Liquid Glue – then a bow from the gold trim in the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo pack.

Finally, I popped the stacked sentiment on with double-stacked Dimensionals.

I added some clear Wonderful Gems here and there and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the double-bell image from Cherish the Season in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the image again on a sticky note and fussy cut to make a mask.  I placed the mask over the bells and then stamped the pine bough image – twice – from the same set in stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce.  I pulled up the mask and stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler.  Then I added a few more Wonderful Gems.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the bells and pine boughs in full strength Crushed Curry and Shaded Spruce on the front…

…and more of the ‘Tis the Season DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the Cherish the Season bundle, with the Sounds of the Season dies – that cut and emboss the pretty bells…

The Joy Dies make three stacked sentiments – Peace, Joy, and Bright!  How fun are they??

And – plaid is never bad!  ‘Tis the Season DSP is filled with plaid and other great holiday patterns!

I hope you like!  And – in case you were wondering – YES!  You CAN get all these goodies in my Special Bundles!  Check them out here!

  1. Such a pretty card! Love the jingle bell and your layering is perfect! Poor Finn…he does have a rough life. No water anywhere except on the arm of the chair. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – pretty ‘bused! 🙁 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Dogs! Go figure. However, my cat licks the shower floor when I am done! Wha?? This, after I just filled her water bowl. Rain water I get. Shower floor, huh-uh.
Anyway, I love your card. Don’t know how I overlooked the Joy dies but I did. Too many goodies I guess. Love that paper! And the inside of your card.

I love these dies – can god bold or delicate depending on what your card needs! We had a cat that likced the soap bar in the bath tub. Weird…. 🙂
