Good Monday morning, my stamping friends! Hope your weekend was good. We worked in the garden, worked around the house, got catalog envelopes labeled and ready to roll when the catalogs arrive this week….generally stayed hunkered down around here. Watching the news make us think we need to throttle back to our stay-home mode from a couple of weeks ago…. which is good for our to-do list, for sure! 🙂
Yesterday, I gave in to my burning desire to play with the stunning new Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and the coordinating Beautiful Autumn bundle. These are all in the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog which demonstrators are able to order from right now – and customers can get their hands on on 4 Aug! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
I started with some beautiful, foil-embossed paper from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and cut two panels at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I adhered them with Liquid Glue to the front and inside of my Crumb Cake card base.
Then I took some Crumb Cake card stock and punched a bunch of leaves and acorns with the three little punches in the Autumn Punch Pack. I used Liquid Glue to adhere the punched shapes all over the front of a Crumb Cake panel.
Then I used my Paper Trimmer to trim the excess.
I adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat and then to a second mat – this one is Bronze Brushed Metallic Card Stock! Whoo-hooo!!! LOVE this new paper (and – you can get a taste of it in one of my Catalog Shares!).
I went back to my Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and cut two triangles with the Stitched Triangle Dies (these are in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog) and popped them onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the Beautiful Autumn sentiment in Early Espresso on a piece of Very Vanilla and punched it with the Everyday Label Punch. I added some faux stitches with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. Then I popped it onto the card front with Dimensionals.
I used the little maple leaf in the Autumn Punch Pack to punch a bronze-foil leaf from the piece of Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP (Don’t you love it when paper and punches work together?!).
I tied a little Linen Thread bow and adhered it to the sentiment with a little Liquid Glue. Then I popped my punched leaf over top with some small pieces of Dimensionals – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I simply stamped a second Beautiful Autumn sentiment in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel. Then I punched another little DSP leaf (cuz I really love it!) and adhered it to the panel with some Liquid Glue.
I used Liquid Glue to double-mat the panel on Early Espresso and Bronze Brushed Metallic Cardstock, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some Early Espresso stamped maple leaves from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set on the front…
…and more of the foil-embossed Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh. My. Goodness! I LOVE this Beautiful Autumn stamp set with the bundled (for a 10% savings!) Autumn Punch Pack!
And the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP is simply stunning – it’s going to be a go-to as we head into Fall for certain sure! Sure doesn’t hurt that the images on the paper can be cut with the punches in the Autumn Punch Pack, either, does it? 🙂
In case you don’t already have the fun The Right Angle Bundle (from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog)…
…you might want to think about picking it up. The Stitched Triangles in that bundle ALSO coordinate with a cool little set in the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini called Tree Angle…
Also? It just really cool to be able to cut triangles easily AND have them be stitched for you! 😉
I hope you like!

Finny in the morning.
He jumps up on the sofa and then gives me the “What?!” look…
Then he remembers that my sofa (and everything else) is HIS sofa….
A little later – his response to my “Finny – let’s go feed the ponies!”
Interest level is low in the hot summer!
Soft sofa and air conditioning. Hard to beat.

Such a pretty card! Great way to use those triangles, love the layer of punches for the background too! Yep, I’m with Finn…AC and the sofa sound much better than running around in the heat and humidity. 🙂
True that! Although it was really pretty nice this morning – of course, HE doesn’t have Weather Live on HIS watch… so he couldn’t have known! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
Wow, I bet this is even more amazing in person when you can see each leaf and acorn up close. So creative! Love Finny peeping over the couch arm! An I”m comfy” look for sure!
Thanks so much, Susan! I love this suite!! And yes – he was comfy for sure! 🙂
Absolutely love your Beautiful Autumn Carr’s. The detail is marvelous.
Thanks much, Hope! 🙂
