Stampin’ Up! Grand Pampered Pets for the Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s Laurie’s Color challenge this week and it’ll for sure jump-start your creative mojo!  I hope you’ll come and play along.  🙂

I’m really sorry I had to pull out of our video last night – I look forward to spending a little time with y’all.  But…my back wasn’t having any part of my desk!  So…wasn’t in the cards.  As it were. 😉  We’ll try again on Thursday!

For the card I WOULD have shared with you last night, I pulled out the cute Pampered Pets bundle and…well – MOST of the entire suite of goodies, really! – to make it!  And added the perfect sentiment from A Grand Kid.  Take a look-see:

And here’s this week’s Paper Players Theme challenge!  Hope you’ll join the fun and show us your projects!  I can’t wait to see what you create!

I did have to substitute Pretty Peacock for Tranquil Tide since that’s what I had!

I also played along with the TGIF challenge…

And the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

I started with a piece of Basic Gray card stock and cut it at 5 1/2″ x 7 1/4″.  Then I scored it and folded it at 3″ – creating the trimmed down front panel.

I embossed a piece of Whisper White in the new Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder (see – the dog in the Pampered Pets stamp set looks like a Scotty to me.  So…Scotty…Argyle… well, it made sense when I made it!).

I matted the panel on Pretty Peacock.

I wrapped a piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots. Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a heart die from the Stitched Be Mine Die Set and cut one of the pieces of Playful Pets DSP.  I popped the heart onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Whisper White, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the Pampered Pets dog in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored him with my Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Combo – and the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker for his collar.  Then I cut him with the matching die in the bundled Pets Die set.

I stamped a sentiment from the A Grand Kid stamp set in Pretty Peacock on Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle die.  I adhered the sentiment to the heart with Liquid Glue – then added the dog die cut with a Dimensional and more Liquid Glue.

I used a Glue Dot to add a heart-shaped Playful Pets Trinket and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Pampered Pets sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White panel, then I matted it on Pretty Peacock.  I matted a strip of Playful Pets DSP on Pretty Peacock and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the panel into the Basic Gray card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Pampered Pets pooch on the front…

…and some more of the Playful Pets DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  A perfect pupper to say happy birthday, courtesy of Pampered Pets and the A Grand Kid stamp sets!

I love that the Pampered Pets images can be cut out lickety-split with the bundled Pets Dies.

I hope you like – and are thinking THIS bundle might be the FREE bundle you pick when you decide to pull the trigger and join the team duing our awesome June joining special! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Gotta tell you – FInn’s not doing much of anything these days.  Lots of sleeping.  It’s what happens in the summer – cuz…he’s a fur-bucket-hot-dog! 🙂

But.  Let the cat get on my lap – especially if there’s also food in the equation – and…all of a sudden…there he is!

What – EXACTLY!? – is going on here??

Move cat.

And if THAT doesn’t work….

He brings out the BIG guns!  The glooowwwwy eyes!!! 😉
