Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Happy Easter Happy Spring!

Good morning!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🙂

Do you know that there’s only two more days of winter??  That’s right – on Thursday, Spring will be sprunged – YEAH!!!

And my card today is a celebration of Spring.  And Easter!  Courtesy of the gorgeous Timeless Tulips stamp set and the bundled Tulip Builder Punch!  Take a look-see:

I used the FUSION challenge – both sides, really.  Ish!

I started with a piece of Whisper White that I embossed in the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Highland Heather for the card front.

I cut a piece of Seaside Spray paper from the 2019-2021 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP, matted it on Highland Heather and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped a whole bouquet of tulips using the large flower from Timeless Tulips – three in Highland Heather and two in Daffodil Delight.  I also stamped a few leaves in Granny Apple Green and a few stems.

I punched all the flowers and leaves with the Tulip Builder Punch, and did a quick fussy cut of the stems.

The sentiment, from Timeless Tulips, is stamped in Highland Heather on Whisper White and cut with a Rectangle Stitched Die.

I laid all the pieces and parts out…including a little bow tied from some Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon…and took my picture…

Then I picked up the sentiment…

…and used that picture to adhere everything to the card front with a combination of Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals (and a Glue Dot for the bow!).  I ended with the sentiment on top – popped over the bow with Dimensionals.

I added a few Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a Highland Heather tulip and a Granny Apple Green stem and leaves to a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Seaside Spray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green tulip on the front…

…and more of the Seaside Spray DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Timeless Tulips bundle – which includes the Tulip Builder Punch – was one of the first things I got from the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog – and it’s just awesome!

I hope you like – and ASSUME you’ve already got this bundle.  If not…you know what you need to do! 😉

  1. Yes, please! I have everything I need to CASE…except for the ribbon and dots. It’s such a delicate card….and yes to the pot roast.

    • stampsnlingers

Pot Roast DOES sound good, doesn’t it?!? But I need my mushrooms! Thanks so much, Karen – I love this bundle! 🙂

  2. Diane Lindsay

Love today’s card. A breath of fresh springtime. Tired of snow. Thank you always for the laughs

    • stampsnlingers

No snow here – but tired of the cold and rainy dreary! Thank you so much, Diane! Appreciate it! 🙂

  3. Such a pretty card! Love the colors, perfect for Easter! 🙂 Yep…we have a similar scene at our house any time either the fridge or freezer is opened. We are sure that there must be something good in there for everyone. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Surely there’s something for everyone – what kind of world would it be if there wasn’t?!? We DO have some doggy ice cream… 😉 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  4. So, you have a sous chef who decides what you eat?? HA! Hold the mushrooms indeed.
Love your card. Tulips certainly do say ‘spring’. Mine are up, the meadowlark is singing. I think spring is truly here, though we could still get snow. (On April 9, 1973, we had 10″ of the white stuff. Further north they had 20″. It was my Grandad’s birthday, so I remember it.)

    • stampsnlingers

Bite your tongue. young lady! No more snow this year! And yes – sous chef Finn! You can’t see his toque…. 😉 Thanks, Julie! 🙂

  5. Susan K

Love the tulip bouquet and design. I’m ready for spring and no virus to get out and go! 😷
Finny is such a helper, inside and outside. It’s always nice for someone to help decide what to fix!

    • stampsnlingers

I know – who knew the hardest part of adulting was figuring out what to make for dinner. Every day for the rest of my life! Glad to have my furry sous chef. Thank you so much, Susan – STAY SAFE!!
