Stampin’ Up! Tags in Bloom Sneak Peek!

Good Friday morning, y’all!!  Another week – done!   AND – it’s Valentine’s Day! Boom – drop the Mic!

If you were able to join me for my first-ever (but NOT my last!) You Tube Live Video –  I appreciate you spending some of your day with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!

This card gives you a sneak peek of one of the new stamp sets coming to you on 3 March 2020 in the Sale-A-Bration Second Release.  The Tags in Bloom photopolymer stamp set – with 19 image, sentiment and frame stamps – will be available for free with a $100 purchase!

The layout for this one was inspired by today’s sketch challenge over at Fab Friday!

And the floral touches are perfect for the Global Design Project theme challenge this week!

This set  coordinates with the Label Me Lovely and Label Me Fancy Punches already available in the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.

For this card, I started with a panel of Granny Apple Green – a little bigger than I needed it – and embossed it in the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I cut it down to my desired size.   I “whitewashed” the brick by dragging my Whisper White Craft Ink pad (upside down) lightly across the raised portions, and when it was dry, I matted it on Daffodil Delight to make the card front.

I cut two of the largest scalloped rectangle dies in the Stitched So Sweetly Die set – one in Daffodil Delight and one in Whisper White.  I adhered the Daffodil Delight die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On the Whisper White die cut, I stamped the flower-edged frame from the Tags in Bloom set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then I turned the die cut 180 degrees and, lining up the frame, inked and stamped the image again.

Using my Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combos, I colored the leaves and flowers.  I also used my Light Mango Melody Blend on the flowers to add a little extra “oomph” to the shading on the flowers.

I popped the completed panel over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Across the middle, I adhered a short length of Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon with a little Liquid Glue.

On a seperate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the Tags in Bloom sentiment in Granny Apple Green.  Then I added the dotted-frame image, stamped in Daffodil Delight.  I punched the sentiment with the Label Me Lovely Punch – and popped it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Tags in Bloom in Granny Apple Green to a Whsiper White panel.  Across the bottom I added the flowers in Tuxedo Black and colored them with my Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the flowers on the front…

…and a piece of Granny Apple Green paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is this image from the Tags in Bloom set??  It is SO pretty in spring yellow and green, don’t you think?  I hope you like!

And – uhm…you’ll be able to get it for free on 3 March and thru the end of Sale-A-Bration on 31 March! Or….get it right now!  Join my team – with no obligation, no requirements, no commitment – and you can get these goodies right away and start using them.  Give me a holler with questions – or get started right here….and let’s get you going! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

It was a dark and stormy day….

Okay – it was raining.  Not stormy.  Really just sort of dreary.

It was a dark and dreary morning….

…and warm enough that I’d directed the staff to open every door and window to air out the musty wolf smell of my lair.

With that done, after eating my specially prepared breakfast….

Okay – it’s dry dog food out of a bag.  Not like…venison benedict or something.

With that done, after eating my dry dog food out of a bag like a “regular” dog….

I took up my post.

I scanned for anything out of the ordinary.

Anything…odd.  Or…new.  Or…just….you know.

Soon, though, the patter of rain and the lack of anything “you know” began to take a toll…

The struggle is real, people.  It’s the ugly truth that no one wants to hear or know!

Sleep.   Happens.

Why do the staff always have a pea-pickin’ camera to catch me in the act of taking a short little teensy power nap?!?

The staff is on their own.

  1. Such a pretty card! Love the colors and your design is perfect, great video too! 🙂 Ha…poor Finn, busted when he was just checking for holes in his eyelids. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – hopefully there are NO holes in his eyelids. Although that would mean he’d get to see his doctor AND cost his parents a little bitty vet bill – win win! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Finn did a really great job writing his story for today and you made a great card. I didn’t know you were live on You Tube. I’ll have to go watch. I totally am not very observant as I didn’t even see these products in the new brochure.

    • stampsnlingers

He’s quite the author, isn’t he? 😉 This Tags in Bloom is from the sale-a-bration second release flyer! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  3. Gerri K

Beautiful card Mary! I just missed the live version but caught the video. Granny Apple & Daffodil are such happy spring colors. Hard to imagine Spring right now. It’s in the 30’s in Jersey, going down to 15 degrees tonight. Brrr
    Love your Finn stories.

    • stampsnlingers

OH — you’re welcome to keep the 30’s and 15’s up NORTH! I’m a little pissy these days when it’s in the 40’s! I guess I’m getting old! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the video and that is one of my favorite color schemes!

  4. Faith Simpson

    Hi Mary,
I missed your Youtube live but just enjoyed watching now! Wonderful “springy” card!!
Also loved Finn’s activities….such a good life that doggie has…..as he should!
    Question: does 31 have a catalog? I’m looking for a certain size that I haven’t seen pictured….

    • stampsnlingers

He DOES have a pretty okay life, for sure! Thanks for the kind words on my card from the YouTube video – glad that you liked it, Faith! 🙂

  5. Stephanie Atterbury
