Stampin’ Up! Music From The Heart Thanks

‘Sup, y’all!?  Hope your week is going well!

So – we’re almost one-third of the way thru Sale-A-Bration.  Wow.  Hard to believe!  Be sure to check out all the great shopping – hosting – and JOINING benefits that happen in Sale-A-Bration, okay?  All the deets you need are down below or over on my Stampin’ Up! Promotions page.  I’d love to have you on my Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew team – give me a holler if you have any questions!  🙂

My card today is a simple little number – barely any fussy cutting at all! – using the sweet Music From The Heart stamp set.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge – you can see I turned it on its head! 🙂

And the color palette is from the Inspire.Create  Challenge.

I started with a piece of Whisper White for the card front, matted on Flirty Flamingo.

From another piece of Whisper White, I cut the largest label die in the new Stitched So Sweetly Die set.

On that label, in Pretty Peacock, I stamped the sentiment from the Music From The Heart stamp set.  Next to it – allowing it to spill off the left side of the label, I added the piano image in Early Espresso.  With my Blender Pen – I lightly pulled some ink out into the image to shade and color it a little.

I stamped the piano again on a piece of scrap Whisper White and colored the heart with my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack.  Then I fussy cut the heart.

I laid the die cut sentiment label onto the card front where I wanted it and used the music notes in the stamp set to add my “music”.  I used Pretty Peacock for the heart note (with the first one overlapping the edge of the die cut) and Flirty Flamingo for the others.  Some of the eighth notes are in stamped-off-once Flirty Flamingo.  I added some little Flirty Flamingo hearts, too.

I popped the label onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I used a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional at the top of the fussy cut heart – and a little Liquid Glue at the bottom – and popped the heart in place.  And – that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added a second Music From The Heart sentiment in Pretty Peacock to a Whisper White panel.  Across the bottom I added the music staff image in Flirty Flamingo, then added the treble clef in Early Espresso and a few Pretty Peacock notes.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some Pretty Peacock and Flirty Flamingo musical notes on the front…

…and the full musical “score” on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the gentle punniness of the sentiments in the Music From The Heart stamp set – and the notes and staff and and and….well.  I love it all!  I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below as well as the card cuts!

MY feet muddy?

No.

Nope.

No Way.

Yes. Yes – I WAS digging in the mud.

No reason for you to think my paws are muddy.

  1. Sweet card! Love the clean design, perfect colors too! So funny, Ginny gets that same look when she’s been racing in the mud…only she’s mud caked from the bottom of her feet half way up her legs!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Amy! Finn does pretty good – his feather DO get pretty wet…. 🙂

  2. The look of innocence on that boy’s face! Love the design of your card. I think I’ve only played with this set once. I’ll make a note to get it out again 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Oh yes – I see what you did there. 😉 Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  3. Doris Jackson

I really like the So Sentimental bundle. It has so many uses and will be timeless. Would love to try Paper Pumpkin kit, thanks for the chance to win one.

  4. Sandi Warthen

This card is gorgeous! This is such a sweet set.

  5. Susan K

This will make a great Valentine for music lovers–and I know the ones that I’d send it to! Love it. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!

  6. Faith Simpson

Hi Mary….I love this set so much….it was the FIRST thing I ordered in the spring catalog! And I love how you did the piano top hanging off the label…..I will be copying that!!
We have trouble with wet muddy feet here too. The first time Buffy goes out, she comes in with wet feet. she has a towel right by the door. When she comes in I snatch her up and say “dry your feet…..get a treat” MUDDY feet require a bit more than just her towel tho.

    • stampsnlingers

I agree – I put this on my list the minute I saw Dawn demo it at OnStage! Mud. I really hate mud. Finn knows when he’s wet or muddy – he walks in and stops to wait for me to dry him off! Not wet? He just keeps going on into the kitchen! Smart kids! 🙂 Thanks much, Faith!

  7. Gerri K

Mary, this is such a beautiful card! I was resisting this stamp set but now I’m a goner. I don’t play piano but love to listen. 🙂
Finn is a wise dog indeed. Mine try desperately to get away with wet feet in the house. Lots of wiggles while we dry them.

    • stampsnlingers

He’s pretty smart – knows when he’s wet and waits! Of course – the “reward” is a good shaking and tugging on the towel, so…he sort of loves that!! Thanks much, Gerri! It’s a great set!

  8. Gorgeous card! I got this set because I have musical people who will enjoy getting a card made with these elements. I didn’t know you are musical, you even know what an eighth note is! May have to CASE yours.

    • stampsnlingers

My grandmother and I played piano every morning before I went to school growing up! So….musical-adjacent! 🙂 Thanks, Julie – it’s a wonderful stamp set!
