Good morning, my peeps! We’re three-quarters of the way thru my “term” as a Guest Designer at the Just Us Girls Challenge! Which is why I’m in your Inbox so early! I’m pretty sure you won’t see this for a few hours, but…hopefully it’s a nice thing to wake up to! 🙂
This week is a color challenge – and I interpreted the colors in a not-so-obvious way! I pulled out the new Witty-Cisms stamp set and used some Neutrals and 2019-2021 DSP to help me out. Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of gingham Purple Posy for the card front, matted on Rococo Rose.
The art layer is a piece of Whisper White that I cut with a Stitched So Sweetly die.
In the upper half of the panel, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sweet image from Witty-Cisms in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I also stamped the image again – once on Merry Merlot Neutrals DSP and once on Purple Posy 2019-2021 In Colors DSP.
I fussy cut the carriage from the Purple Posy image and the heart from the Merry Merlot image – and then adhered them to the art work with Liquid Glue.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to the next larger Stitched So Sweetly rectangle cut in Rococo Rose. I wrapped some Rococo Rose 1/2″ Gathered Ribbon around the panel – securing it in the back with Glue Dots. Then I tied a short piece around that to create a faux bow.
I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!
On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Witty-Cisms carriage in stamped-off-once Rococo Rose in the middle of a Whisper White panel. I used Washi Tape to mask off the sentiment while I inked the image. Do NOT forget to take the tape off BEFORE stamping, okay? Not saying I’ve ever done that or anything, but just throwing it out there. I stamped a perfect little sentiment from the Time for Tags set (a host-exclusive set in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog) in Merry Merlot over the top of the carriage.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Rococo Rose mat and into my Merry Merlot card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the carriage on the front in Rococo Rose – I also did a little more paper-piecing on this image….
…and I put some more of the Purple Posy 2019-2021 In Color DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love how these softer tones of the Purple-Pink-Red color palette turned out together, don’t you? They’re a sweet color combo for the baby-themed image from Witty-Cisms. I was also glad that I had Time for Tags in my tool box – cuz that inside sentiment it pretty much perfect! I hope you like!

The chin – resting on the leg. His weakness from hunger is simply too overwhelming to deal with. Doesn’t even have the energy left to hold his own head up.
