Stampin’ Up! Welcome to the Team Gang’s All Meer

Happy Monday, y’all!  Are you having fun with Sale-A-Bration?!?  Some really fun goodies to get for FREE!!  And a wonderful Joining Special!  And Double Peppermints!  It’s a great time to be a STAMPER!!!  Wow!

So – speaking of Sale-A-Bration, I’ve got a cute card today that uses a stamp set I got for free and YOU can get for free, too – The Gang’s All Meer!!  I paired it up with the So Sentimental stamp set and the bundled Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Plus some other goodies I think you’ll recognize!!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

And the color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a piece of Peaceful Poppies DSP and ran it thru my die cutting machine in the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder, then matted it on Early Espresso to make the card front.

I cut the same design of Peaceful Poppies DSP with the die in the Stitched Labels set and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On Whisper White, I stamped the adorable The Gang’s All Meer cats in Early Espresso.  And I stamped the little guy popping out of his hole.  I cut them both with dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The images are all colored with my Clear Wink of Stella – using Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks (picked up from the lids of the ink pads).

I popped the large image on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered the smaller die cut with a Mini Dimensional and some Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from the Welcome to the Team set (2019-2020 Annual Catalog), is stamped in Early Espresso on Peaceful Poppies DSP and cut with the small Stitched Rectangle Die.

I adhered the sentiment with Liquid Glue, added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a big sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Whisper White panel.  I added the little Meer-cat popping-dude and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Early Espresso mat and into a Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another The Gang’s All Meer cat on the front…

…and some more of the Peaceful Poppies DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How stinkin’ cute is The Gang’s All Meer?!?  I mean – serious.  Add in that you can get it for free with a $50 purchase?  Yes, please.  And the So Sentimental Bundle is one of my very very favorites in the new 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.  How about you?  I hope you like!

There’s a lot of goodness between here and the Finn Fan Fix…so…be sure to take a look, okay? 😉

HOST CODE FOR 1 JAN – 15 JAN: B3JD39GG

Use this host code when you order $50 or greater and receive a free gift from me!  If your order is over $150, please do not use this code, but you’ll still get the free gift.  The free gift is your choice of any item valued up to $10.00 in any active Catalog!  That includes some of the Host Exclusive stamp sets!  See my Rewards page for full details.

**Please note: Due to an increased number of orders that I’ve recently been receiving that have been in the $10-$20 range, I’ve had to change my host code reward to include only orders of $50+.  Unfortunately, it’s not fair to those who are ordering $50+ and there are not enough host $$ generated from orders under $50 to cover the $10 gifts.  Therefore, I won’t be able to continue to offer that bonus on every order.  Thanks for your understanding!

Finn Fan Fix

Yesterday was hay-day on the farm.  Not HEYDAY.  HAY day.

As in – the girls have been teetering on the very precipice of starvation for several days now.

We know this because they’re at the gate by about 3 in the afternoon  – swaying piteously due to their weakened state.

So – it was time to put hay bales in the two feeders.  One in each pasture.

Finn….helped.

And so did the girls.

See their ribs?

No?

Hmmm.

After some rolling and netting (we put the bales in giant nets to thwart their “Hay-flinger” tendencies!) and pushing away big noses…

…we had a bale in place in the top pasture.

Finn was done with this nonsense.

He was saving himself to supervise and QC the second bale installation.

Looking about right, Dad.  Keep up the good work!  (Praise in public, criticize in private – he’s a good leader!)

Netting takes some….Dad-on work!

Two bales.  1600 pounds of hay.  That oughta last them a minute.

And yes.  They were still at the gate by 5.  😉

  1. Such a cute card! Love the little critters! And the girls do look like they’re starving…super skinny. Ha! 😉 Good thing that the supervisor was there to offer a paw. I’m sure that his assistance was much appreciated. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Couldn’t have done it without him, that’s for sure! Hoping the SPCA doesn’t see these pictures…. LOL. Thanks, Amy!

  2. This card is meerly (at least it’s not an earworm!) the cutest set of all time for me. I like how you have used the colors and dies. Taking care of horses is demanding for you guys and Finn…but you made two beautiful ‘lingers quite happy and those ribs disappeared in a nano second! Have a great week.

    • stampsnlingers

LOL – it’s almost as if the ribs were never visible at all, isn’t it?!? ROFL! Thanks, Karen – and I appreciate the non-earworm comment! 🙂

  3. Faith Simpson

ok….when I see what you guys do on the farm, I always wonder how you know what to do…..I mean, is there a horse farm school or what?? Looks amazing to me……about as amazing as your wonderful cards!! This one is so cute. I just love those meercats!!

    • stampsnlingers

Well – yes, but neither of us ever went to one! Wayne grew up around horses so…that’s easy! I pestered my parents until they got me riding lessons – and then finally a horse of my own. I took those riding lessons – and read all the horse books I could find. And made a ton of mistakes. Now? Feels like I never did NOT have horses to take care of!! Thanks much, Faith – the meercats are a heavy favorite this year!! 🙂

  4. Susan K

Love those meerkats and your cute card. Glad we’re done with the hay-for-the-cow days–those were rough but we didn’t have a good supervisor like you do.

    • Susan K

PS…Hope you need lots of those cards!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank the good Lord for our equipment. And Wayne. Without it and him…I’d be using small squares. Still hard work and WAY more expensive! But – I love them so…it’s worth it! Thanks, Susan! 🙂

  5. Poor things. Looks like they have an advocate in Finn! Cute card too. 🙂

  6. Claudia Ingram

All in a day’s work…right Finn? So glad you’re around to help so your mom can have time to keep us up to speed. And Mary, you absolutely outdid yourself on this card!

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – he’s my bestest helper! Thanks so much, Claudia! 🙂
