For the Deatherage’s – Christmas means….Prime Rib.
And that includes Finn Deatherage!
Well – the RIb part, at least…
He toted it like this all the way to the gate and half way back yesterday.
He trots ahead of me and then lays down to get a little gnaw in while he waits for me to catch up!
Then he lets me get a little ahead of him and races to get in front…lay down….repeat!
He dropped it at the bridge coming back.
I couldn’t see it – and he wasn’t looking.
Nope – he left it in some leaves to age just a bit.
And then…”found” it on the last walk of the evening.
What?? I had this planned the whole time!

I’m on the fence about this one 🙂 I might just have to join you if dinner doesn’t get in the way. We broke with tradition this year so I didn’t do a prime rib. Chewing the meat off the bone used to be one of my faves…and that outside edge, oh yum!
Glad you were able to make it! And I’m so sorry you didn’t get a rib this year. I heat mine up – gnaw the “good stuff” off – and then let Finn finish cleaning every. Last. Nibble! 🙂
