Stampin’ Up! Sending Thoughts Sneak Peek on Peaceful Poppies for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Celebration!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to go with a congratulations card using a fun sentiment from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration Flyer stamp set called Sending You Thoughts (which you’ll be able to pick up for FREE with a $50 order starting on 3 Jan 20!) and the most gorgeous Peaceful Poppies DSP (in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog also coming on 3 Jan 20!).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

This one is super easy so…buckle up!

I started with a piece of the gorgeous, wunnermus, spectacular – dare I say AMAZEBALLS!! – Peaceful Poppies DSP.  I cut a Stitched Rectangle from the middle of the panel.

I matted the leftover panel onto a Basic Black mat with Liquid Glue.  I also matted the die cut piece on Basic Black and popped that right over the negative space on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Sending You Thoughts stamp set, is stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White and cut with a smaller Stitched Rectangle Die.

I adhered the sentiment to the popped up portion of the card front with Liquid Glue.

A few clear sequins from the new Peaceful Poppies Sequins pack – adhered on the sentiment and the card front with Liquid Glue – finished it all off!

On the inside, I stamped a second Sending You Thoughts sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on a Whisper White panel.  Over the top, I added the large flower outline from Painted Poppies in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I inked the large flower-fill-in image in Poppy Parade, stamped it off once and stamped it over the outline.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few more Painted Poppies on the front…

…and a little more of the Peaceful Poppies DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila.  If you’ve been following me for a minute, you’ve heard me say “THIS is my favorite DSP of all time” about a ….hundred times!  And I always mean it when I say it – and then….a NEW “my favorite DSP” comes along.  Well – Peaceful Poppies is my current “favorite DSP of all time”!  I think it’s absolutely stunning.  I love the Painted Poppies stamp set, too.  Put them together?  Well – they’re a miracle of GORGEOUS-NESS!  And we shouldn’t forget the Sending You Thoughts stamp set – wonderful sentiments and…Free during Sale-A-Bration.  Uhm…hello?!?  I hope you like!
