Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Painted Moments and Poppies Sneak Peek and Year-End Closeout Sale!

Happy Monday!  Day 2 of December – the countdown to Christmas is TRULY on, isn’t it?!?

Today is Cyber Monday – and…I’ve still got my Free Shipping special going on.  But – I’ve decided to EXTEND it one day so you guys can all hit the End of Year Clearance Sale that starts tomorrow!  All the deets are down below – so…ENJOY and happy shopping and saving! 🙂

My card today is another sneak peek of one of my favorite new Suites in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog – the Peaceful Poppies Suite!  I used the Painted Poppies and bundled Painted Labels dies and the Peaceful Moments stamp set – plus some of the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started with some poppy-strewn paper from the Peaceful Poppies DSP that I matted on Old Olive for the card front.

The art panel is a smaller piece of Whisper White.  I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Painted Poppies image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I used my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to pick up ink from the lid of my Poppy Parade ink pad and colored the poppies.

Around the field of poppies, I added the small splatter image from Painted Poppies in stamped-off-TWICE Flirty Flamingo.

I matted the panel on Old Olive and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I wrapped some new Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (coming on 4 Jan 20) around the card front – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Peaceful Moments sentiment in Old Olive on Whisper White and cut it with the die in the Painted Labels Die set.  I popped it over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wrapped another piece of the Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the first piece – next to the sentiment – and tied a bow.

I stuck a little flower-shaped sequin from the new Peaceful Poppies Sequins onto the sentiment with Liquid Glue.  Then I added a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the middle.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added a second Peaceful Moments sentiment in Old Olive to a Whisper White panel.  Then I used my Stamparatus to add a second Painted Poppies flower image in Tuxedo Black.  I painted the image with my Clear Wink brush – using Poppy Parade and Old Olive inks.  A Peaceful Poppies Sequin and Rhinestone added a little sparkle.  Finally – I added the splatter image again in stamped-off-TWICE Flirty Flamingo all around the sides.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Painted Poppies flower and splatters on the front…

…and more of that Peaceful Poppies DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I am a little gobsmacked every time I see this Peaceful Poppies DSP, aren’t you?  It is just so darned beautiful – with its vibrant colors and gorgeous poppies strewn all about!  And the Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments bundles – the “anchors” of the Suite – are the absolutely perfect accompaniments to it, don’t you think?  I hope you like!  Come on 4 Jan!! 🙂

  1. Pretty card, though I am not crazy about the color combination. The jury is still out for me on the poppies. Funny Finn, eating too much! Reminds me of most of us after Thursday.

  2. The plate does not need to go into the dishwasher…lol. Another hit with the DSP. Nicely created for the challenge…good luck!

Thanks much, Karen! And…I’ll never tell whether the dish went into the dishwasher or not! 😉

  3. Such a sweet card! Love the colors and your layering is perfect! Poor Finn…he can barely lift his head to eat the leftovers. It’s a tough lift for sure! 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – he’s exhausted from…uhm…not really sure! LOL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
