Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Night Before Christmas Card

‘Sup, y’all!

Well – you should be proud of me!  I spent the hour waiting for my car yesterday in the Honda showroom.

And I did NOT come out with a new van!

And it was TEMPTING as all get out!

So…yeah me! 🙂

My card today is one you can put together lickety-split, as long as your tool box has the right tools in it – like… the awesome Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack and DSP.  AND – the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and bundled Christmas Layers Dies.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is loosely from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

I started by matting a piece of the Night Before Christmas DSP on some Mossy Meadow card stock for the card front.

Next, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla with a Stitched Nested Label Die.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas in Cherry Cobbler in the middle of the die cut.

Above it and below it, I added a couple of sticker images from the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack.

I used the Christmas Layers die to cut a Mossy Meadow and an Old Olive bough, and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I tied a double-loop bow with Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Over that, I added a double-length simple bow tied with Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.

I used Cherry Cobbler gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and added them on the die cut leaves – for “berries”! 🙂

Finally, I added a gold star from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus again to add a second Itty Bitty Christmas sentiment to a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I added another Gold Star.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Cherry Cobbler card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some colorful star stickers and a To/From sticker from the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack on the front (yes – I arbitrarily decided this one would be hand-delivered!)….

…and more of the Night Before Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Once again, the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack helps to make quick work of a fun and festive Christmas card – and it’s an especially nice accompaniment to the sentiment-only Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.  The pretty die cuts from Christmas Layers add a nice little touch of texture and interest, too – don’t you think?  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

So…on Monday we smoked a brisket.

Let me tell you what – that smoker starts smelling AMAZING….WAAAAY before the meat is ready.

W. A. Y!

It’s hard for humans.

For dogs – and tiny panthers! – it’s got to be torture!

Did somebody say….BRISKET!?!?

Is it ready?!? Is it?  Huh??

I’M READY!!

I’m pretty sure it’s ready RIGHT NOW!

I mean – really.  Brisket is good cooked.  Uncooked.

Whatever!
