Stampin’ Up! Art is Everything Amazing Birthday!

Here ’tis, y’all!  Say it with me.  And do it IN CAPS!!

HAPPY HAPPY HAWWWWWMMMMP DAY!!!

There – that felt good, huh?

Guess what today is?  It’s a LAST day.

  • Last Day to Earn Bonus Days Coupons – the EARNING starts tomorrow.  So…if you don’t have all the $5 coupons you want…you know what to do!
  • Last Day to SAVE big on Thirty One Goodies!
  • Last at-home-work day for Mary
  • Last day before I can order 2019 Holiday Catalogs to send to you!!
  • Oh – last day of July, too!

That’s a lot of Last Day stuff, isn’t it? 🙂

Now – this will NOT be the last day you see a card from me using the super Everything Amazing stamp set!  It’s so darned handy and versatile and…COOL!  Look what happens when you add it to Follow Your Art DSP!

This is my CASE of the Designer from this week’s Global Design Project challenge!

I started with some fun paper from the Follow Your Art DSP and matted it on Crushed Curry for the card front.

I wrapped a length of Crushed Curry 3/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the big beautiful sentiment from Everything Amazing in Calypso Coral on a piece of Whisper White.  I cut it out with the largest Stitched Nested Label die.  Then I used my trimmer to cut off one point.

I added two more pieces of the sentiment in Pacific Point and some Crushed Curry curly-do’s here and there around the image.

I laid the sentiment onto the card front where I planned to set it – and stamped the balloon image from Everything Amazing in Tuxedo Black – letting the strings overlap the sentiment panel.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the balloons again – this time in Calypso Coral – on another piece of Whisper White and colored them with my Light Calypso Coral Blend, Dark So Saffron Blend and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I fussy cut the balloons and popped them over the stamped image on the card front.

I tied a small bow from the Crushed Curry 3/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and used a second piece to tie it onto the ribbon already on the card front.

I added some Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added the balloons and curly-do’s on a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Pacific Point card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Everything Amazing balloons and confetti (I’m pretty sure that’s the technical term for the curly-do’s!) on the front…

…and some more of the Follow Your Art DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I.  LOVE.  THIS.  SET!!  Everything Amazing really IS amazing – for so many occasions!  And, of course, the cheerful and color-filled Follow Your Art DSP is so much fun!  I hope you like!

  3. Paula Poindexter

Great card Mary! Very happy and bright!
And what’s up with Mr. Finn?
Seriously, he took on a cast iron pan? Amazing!!!
Hope he didn’t lose any teeth in the process.
Hope it all passes without a hitch.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Paula – I love that set! And it’s a hard plastic microwave cooker from Pampered Chef that I’ve had for years. And figured I’d have for a ton MORE years!! I think I got most of the little pieces back out thanks to the H2O2!!

  4. Oh, my. Poor Finn. And poor you! How do you get a dog to take that stuff? BTW, your card is sure to make the recipient happy!

    • stampsnlingers

LOL! A syringe – patience – and practice! Thanks so much, Julie! 🙂

  5. Lisa A Crosby

Oh Finn! What were you thinking silly dog? That surely didn’t taste good. I hope he is feeling better!

    • stampsnlingers

He’s doing just fine – and would chew up another soup-lined plastic pot in a heartbeat. Cuz…as you said…SILLY dog! 🙂 Thanks, Lisa! 🙂

  6. Jari Francis

Poor Finn!! Love the card. It’s a winner, for sure

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Jari! He’s fine – I just didn’t want to take any chances! 🙂

  7. You are amazing! Finn, Finn, Finn…does he think he’s still a puppy? Oh, my gosh, I hope he isn’t too sick. What kind of metal is that pan?

    • stampsnlingers

No – he threw up and drove on. And it was preventative…that’s a hard plastic pan for the microwave! I was just worried that a sharp piece might get somewhere it shouldn’t! Thanks so much, Karen! 🙂

  8. Susan K

I love the festivity of the card. So colorful. Poor Finn. Not enough chew toys that he has to eat pots! Glad he is okay!

    • stampsnlingers

I know. We’re so mean. Not even one toy for the poor little guy!! Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂

  9. Kathy Fennell

Great birthday card Mary! That’s a stamp set I don’t have, another one to add to the list. Well I’m going to say that pan must have tasted really good for Finn to have chewed on like it was one of his chew toys, silly boy! Glad he is ok and has a quick thinking Mom around! Be still my heart 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yea – if ONLY his parents would buy him a toy… just ONE toy!! LOL!! Thanks, Kathy – he’s fine. He probably would have been okay without my “treatment” but…seemed safer! 🙂

  10. Maryanne Willequer

Mary, I love this card! Every card I have seen using this stamp comes out spectacular, and your card is no exception!

Congrats on successfully ending your second career! Good luck with the future,. I suspect that SU will become a really big part of your life, if it isn’t already.

    Poor Finny. 😞

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Maryanne! Looking forward to it – and am hoping to become a much more organized and effective demonstrator! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! And thank you – Finny is well recovered! 🙂
