Stampin’ Up! Everything Amazing and Silhouettes!

Happy happy HAWWWMP Day! 🙂  Hope your week is going well!

Back when I first saw the new See A Silhouette DSP, I thought in my head…”Hey – the 70’s called and want their psychedelic colors back!”.  Not that I don’t like it – I really do (a LOT!) – but…it’s definitely wild.  And – for me – has a sort of 70’s hippy vibe.   I used it with a fun new stamp set called Everything Amazing.  Take a look-see:

This stamp set works perfectly with this week’s Just Us Girls Trend challenge!

I started by adhering some of that wonderful paper on Mango Melody for the card front!

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the big bold sentiment from Everything Amazing in Poppy Parade on a piece of Whisper White.  Then I added the other two – smaller – sentiments in Mossy Meadow.  This set is so fun – you can mix and match to make so many different sentiments! 🙂

I added some candles – also from the Everything Amazing stamp set – in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them with my Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pacific Point and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers.

I matted the panel on Mango Melody and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels – no, I know, they don’t match but…what DID in the 70’s?!?!  And the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a couple of Tuxedo Black balloons – that I colored in Poppy Parade, Pacific Point and Mango Melody – and a few Poppy Parade confetti strands and Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more balloons and confetti on the front…

…and I added more “groovy, man” See A Silhouette DSP to the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Isn’t this such a fun stamp set?  Everything Amazing is so versatile – and big enough to “carry” a card all by itself!  And the See A Silhouette DSP – not my usual style but…it’s so in-your-face fun and pretty – I can’t help but love it!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Well – the Finn-ster didn’t come home quite as unscathed from summer camp as we thought.  He’s got kennel cough.

Which is a generic term for any contagious upper respiratory illness with a cough.

So – he’s been hacking and coughing since last night.

Which meant…a trip to his doctor on Tuesday.

Only WE don’t like to go to his doctor (mostly cuz of the credit card business at the end!).

Finn LOVES his doctor!  And is the best of patients!

The good news is that the medicine they gave us was already making him feel better by Tuesday evening!! 🙂

Thanks, Dr. Chris!

That’s not “new” Dr. Chris – that’s “old” Dr. Chris.  What are the odds there’d be TWO Dr. Chris’s in Finn’s life?!?

Like – wow man – I love your card! It reminds me of some bell bottoms I had😉 A great combo of products👍 So sorry Finn caught a cough, but glad he’s already on the mend😀 Things got really busy while you were away – the twins were born! A boy and a girl- both about 6 lbs. each. Everyone is doing well and I’m enjoying lots a baby cuddles😊 Hope you’re digging out of the jet lag✈️

Wow!! Yippee and whoo-hoo, too!! That’s awesome, Elisha – congrats. I am SURE you won’t be spoiling them AT ALL! 😉 Thanks so much 🙂

  2. I used to have a blouse like that DSP! Yes, back in the late 70’s! I just put it in Good Will a couple of years ago, I’m ashamed to say. It was one of my faves and still looked like new. BUT you can only wear something for so many years and then it needs to be retired, right? However, I am not so sure I am in love with this particular DSP but wouldn’t have known that without doing your paper share. I’m so glad the vets were able to help The Man. Have a great day.

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – when things need to be retired they need to be retired! And sent to the Goodwill!! Thanks so much, Karen – glad that you liked it. And…thanks for the mind-image of that blouse! 😉

  3. Oh, love your design! Perfect way to use that funky paper. Bummer on the kennel cough, glad that he’s feeling better already! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – the miracle of modern medicine! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

Thank you, Maria! Appreciate you stopping by! 🙂

  5. I am loving that big, bold sentiment! That background is so pretty with the bold colors and frames the sentiment beautifully. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!

      Thanks, Susan – it’s really a fun set! 🙂
